  1. Sorry dude you have been misinformed, my 2004 L200 has 96K on the clock. There were, I believe, cylinder head issues on 2002-03 models which in most cases were fixed under warranty. Bit too much of a generalisation to say all have this problem
  2. Just bought a Dave Cooper 4x4 rack and have to give a big . I placed the order lunchtime Monday and it was delivered before lunchtime today (wed). Build quality is very good and took about 20 mins to fit and adjust to bike wheel base. It literally takes seconds to remove rack from the vehicle and is a great option rather than faffing about with the trailer. I would definately recommend these racks to anyone. Repsolypf
  3. Sunday 14th September - get this date in your diaries for a trial on a great piece of ground. All details are on the events calendar and you can download entry regs from there too. Cheers
  4. Have to agree the sticker kits are excellent quality. You may find you have to trim the swing arm stickers to prevent having an awkward small fold over bit on the top edge to try and stick down. I found the domino grips to be very good however JK is right the orange bits do have a habit of coming out.
  5. Yes with Bon Accord, however Bigfoot I understand is out of the country a lot now and our trials dates have not appeared on the calendar for a while now. Following a committee meeting on wednesday i undertook to post the dates of our trials but have been unable to do so.
  6. Can anyone please explain how to enter events into the calendar on the front page. Do you need to have separate login details for this as it appears that my existing login details are invalid and I am now in an interminable loop of having allegedly forgotten my password and getting verification codes sent to my email account. Any pointers gratefully accepted
  7. Many Thanks copemech - everything went exactly as you have set out here. The dremel cutter worked a treat. I put the headstock shaft in the freezer for about 30 mins and stuck the bearing in the oven (200 deg C Gas mark 6) for 10 mins and the bearing went on with no problems at all. Great stuff - now fixed and bike reassembled.
  8. I have replaced the top bearing in the frame - no problem. However the bottom inner race that's fitted to the actual headstock is proving to be a real pain to remove. I dont want to be too brutal with it as I am worried about damaging the shaft that the new bearing will have to be seated on. I have already managed to destroy the cage and bearing races and am now left with the seemingly impossible job of getting the remains of the bearing housing off the shaft. Many thanks for any tips or advice on how to proceed
  9. I have been an avid browser of this site for ages now and have found in the main that any query I have has already been covered - so have been content to be 'silent' - and observe. Benefited from the knowledge of others regarding the leaky carb on Betas and used the info available through this forum to do the modification to prevent it happening. Also found the link to those smart 'cast' footrests and got a set of them as well. What else to say - the best trials site bar none. For those who are frequent posters - more power to you. Me? I've now broken my posting duck and hope I don't get into the habit. P.S. Completely agree with the attitude to text talk - I absolutely hate it, so it's refreshing to see that it has no place on this forum. Keep up the good work
