  2. thanks guys ive ordered the 40. 52 10.5 not the "52.2" been told there is no such size or it won't make a difference? Anyone else had this issue? Also when i removed the original, it was a hell of a job? as they both seemed like they were very tightly fitted against the cast of the fork??? I did remove them but i nearly destroyed them when removing????? For future reference...Is there a proper way of taking them out?
  3. plug could be it yes ur rite tltel as it could have dirt in it stopping it from turning off, very easy to remove and clean also. As it can be easy to forget to remove and clean it when its carb cleaning time
  4. Does it run ok from cold? just a thought it might be a sticking piston ring? Have u tried giving it a proper blast? As that might help clear any foul on the piston and might help clear the exhaust a bit as 2 stroke foul does clog it a bit. I very much doubt it will be jetting unless the jets have been modified lately? As for plug...changing it wont solve it, plus if u wanted to change plug grade i would want to go up rather than down! What oil are you using and mix? Ye making sure filter is clean can make a lot of difference I hope that helps a little....keep us posted on outcome
  5. Hi peeps I removed the seals from my 2006 Gas Gas 250 pro, and the replacement seals are the wrong size as the new ones are smaller??? I read somewhere that some of the Gas Gas forks are a "upgraded size forks?" The part number reads in this order "40. 52.2 10.5" Been looking on ebay and they seem very expensive for just 2 seals as i bought the other smaller size for only £2.40 for the pair! Other ones on ebay read 52.2 40.10.5??? Does it matter what order the numbers are? Can anyone tell me where i can get them at a normal price? Already spent a lot on the bike so dont want to go over bored!! OR....With fork seals is it better to spend a bit more than usual so they last a bit longer?? Been out the trials game a while now so need as much info and help as possible, as i bought it as the owner said it was trials ready but after riding it just half a day realized it needs loads doing to it, as the bike is pretty much in bits now please help
  6. Thanks for that!! I forgot about adjusting it on carb lol. I will try that tomorrow. But it does have a bit of wear inside the domino throttle sleeve, probably go away if i adjust it. Just looked today and its got the slow one on it at the moment...But i guess i wont know which to go for until i take it out for at least a hour
  7. i am 32, ye i was even thinking maybe a 200cc but the 250 came along at the rite deal. Was a lucky buy to be honest ye would never go for a 300
  8. thanks that's a grate help! It's a 250 pro 2006Which is a standard throttle? As I've only seem to of found fast or slow action. As I wanna change it as its got too much play in it due to the usual wear! Can't wait to ride it but don't wanna use it until its set up correct, so will need your help guys

  10. Hi people's I've just bought it today and needs a few things to make it 100% trials ready It needs wheel bearings back and front, and I am not sure on size? Are they same size back and front? Should I go for the fast or slow action throttle? Bare in mind I am a novice! Also plug size? BPR5ES? ACU license? Do I need one before I do a trial? Or can I just get a day one just to start? There is probably more I will need to know as its my first trials bike in 7 years lol any help will be grate!

  12. Hi everyone.... Ive not ridden properly since 2006. Had a few bikes since then and not had one for about 2 years!! IE had a few montesas but never did a trail since 2006!!! Now I have the bug again to do events, not just to mess about!! Was thinking a gas gas or a sherco? As I used to always have the bomb proof montesa 315r as they always seemed ride ok, and never had a problem with them!! Now I am 32 years old and not quite as fit as I was and a basic clubmans level....Was wondering if all of you up to date people could help me decide what bike i should get? I was thinking a 200 gas gas or sherco to get back into it, as ive heard some people prefer the 200 as they are more easy to ride? Even heard the odd intermediate go for 200 instead of the 250s etc But thats what i remember back between 1998 to 2002 as i was quite a good rider back then, being as i was in very early 20. So now I am totally out of touch with everything....So if anyone has any advice they can give me, ie gas gas sherco, 200 or 250? Dont mind price, as long as its within reason, was thinking £1200 to £1500 just want the correct bike to start again. Any advice would be great as I really want to get involved properly this time and enter a trial at least twice a month!!!
  13. Yes but its not very easy to get hold of one locally just to test What sort of difference are they? Is the 200 more easy to ride?
  14. I am getting back into trials and I am thinking this time round a 200cc gas gas. In the past people have told me they are more easy to ride? Ive always had montesa315r but i did find it a bit too much sometimes, maybe because they are not the lightest of bikes. How many of you prefer the 200cc to a 250/280 etc. Is there much difference? I am also at club mans level. Any advice would be grate. thanks peeps
  15. Thanks guys......Ye its a shame montesa dont do a 200cc ish. I think its because Honda concentrate more on other bikes as trials are probably quite small to them. Hummmm just looking on ebay and places for a beta 200....Dont seem to be many about??
