Twinshock

Well I have decided to get myself a twinshock again, something to work on as a project and to take part in twinshock trials . Now I am not fussed about what bike I go for, but would prefer early to late 70's. My question is not realy what is the best bike but what make(s) have the most widely available spares or have the best value for money parts. Don't want to get into a rebuild to find that parts take months to locate or cost more that it is worth. I don't expect all part to be on the shelf but waiting time within reason. Also are there makes that you can go to several dealers rather that 'oh with that bike you cn only get them from.....' Any help would be great

Hi all out there,just wondered if anybody knows any info on dating my honda seeley tl200.It is a bit of a mystery what year it is ,and what exactly is the model,i assume it is a tl200,as engine says RS200,and it looks like an early frame.But frame no is in the 1100 area,ie sht1100,so if anybody knows of a web site or book that can help i would be very grateful,keep ridin,revandgo. :

doe's anyone remember these trials bikes, never seen or heard of them?

Can i just check with someone in the know, what are these trials like? is this series on the road? and am i able to ride my ossa made in 77?

I have a pair of original alloy bodied Rockshocks are they worth a rebuild ready to fit to my Cub, or have shocks moved on so much that it would be better to get a new pair.

Hi just stripped down my Falcons off a 200 Fantic. What grade of oil would you use and quantity. Also do you have to run them with air in? why not just oil. I am 75kg and use 40lb springs.

Can the guy who had an ossa engine and wanted a frame reply to this, I have a friend who has loads of ossa spares i,ll give you his number and you can deal with him.

does any body know where i can get a cheap front brake master cylinder for a 2004 sherco???

Just reassembled my 240 pro yesterday with new double needle brgs. in the swingarm pivot, and can actualy see the stock marzocchi's flex upon compression !!!! It works 100% better with new brgs. but I need new shocks. Has anyone tried the new NJB trikshok W/ the spherical brgs in the eyelets instead of rubber bushings yet ! looks like the hot ticket to me !! Any info helpful Thanks Glenn

Hello all! After yet another stripdown, I had the chance to have a superb practice after work on Friday on my Italjet. Although it didn't break down, and always started well, I found that if I came down a hill with the throttle shut off, when I came to apply power, there was no response for a few seconds, then it picked up. I tried small throttle openings coming down the hill, but with the less than perfect brakes, that seemed a bit too scary!!! I wonder if anyone has experienced this sort of thing before? I have had awful trouble with air leaks, but this time I made new gaskets all round, and have fitted new crank oil seals etc. My money is on the carb (Dellorto PH…

Hello all!! Been doing some work on my "spare" Italjet 350 (don't all throw oranges at me at once!!), and I was pleased to see it has a pair of brand new Betor shocks, with the air valve. The air valve is at the top (by the seat), but the Betor stickers are upside down. Does this mean they are on upside down, or does it not matter? Are there any other Italjet riders on the forum? hi ive got a dilemer with my clutch what it is is that i start the bike up and then pull te clutch in and put it into gear and it pulls away without even letting the clutch out

Well, I dropped off my NOS RL 250 swingarm bushings with a friend to copy. I asked for a couple of sets in bronze and he asked if I also wanted any in aluminum....... never heard of this myself. Seems the bronze would be better for carry lubrication. Thoughts on this?

Noticed an advert for Rock Shocks in the TMX, the first Fantic I owned had them fitted but I was too green to know if they were any good. Does anyone have any experience of them? are they any good by todays standards? has anyone bought any?
