I'm due to go in for a shoulder replacement(copeland) shortly due to severe osteoarthritis, what I would like to know is, has anyone else has had this operation and managed to get back on a bike? How long did it take, do you have any tips on pre/post op treatment, exercises, slings etc? For info I'm 39 ( which is young for a replacement apparently) and will be treated by Professor Len Funk.

Hey all. Yep, as title, on Sunday I broke my Trials virginity and took part in my local club trial. I have had the bike for about 10 months but being from MX only used it a few times. So, with the season now finished and with my arm being twisted by a pal who rides trials I entered. And..........what a mega day!! Such a varied range of different people and bikes who are all up for the craic. Loved every minute of it. So much so, I have entered one this coming Sunday. Bit by the bug SEVERELY!! Haha.

Ive not ridden for a well over a year and last time i used my bike it was serviced and i often ran it up to temperature to keep it in good condition. Last year wife wanted a Veg rack in garage and against my advice we had one. The mouse then made home n i trapped it and got rid of the veg rack. Last week i finally got out on the bike to find it running rough after 5mins so clean carb out n all was well for a while then it re occured. On the third occasion i opened the airbox only to find a bloody mouse nest and it had eaten me air filter hence me issues. Fitted a new mouse filter n all sorted on me first trial in a while.

Hey Guys: After riding Ishy's little Scorpa 4 banger a week ago, I got to thinking about how impressed I was with it! What a fun little bike. It also made me think that for once it would be cool to have a displacement class (125) or, some sort of a IROC serie's format at the Nationals or in some of the regional serie's. A class where everyone is riding the same displacement of bike. Obviously at this point, Scorpa would have the 4s 125 market cornered, but if some of the other manufacturers got into making affordable entry level 4s bikes that would be competitive also, would sure make for some good fun, and open up a whole new market for people who want to ride and compe…

OOOOPPPPSSS I messed up my pole and do not see how to edit it, Andy, can you fix it? It should be 75% of the 93 Octane to 25% 110 Octane race gas. My daughter wanted to do her science fair project on something to do with the bikes this year. We hashed around several things, she had pretty much settled on weights of the various bikes, but then we got speaking about gas and how I mixed it etc. so the Science project evolved. You see the question. The procedure will be to take the Pizza bike of John Isherwood fame. (never rebuilt to my knowledge) Ish? (02 Sherco 125) Take the 4 samples of fuel all mixed at 64 to 1 with Maxxima K2. Bring bike up to operational temp a…

has anyone tried any of the followin new footpegs? Pivot Pegz- i have tried and am not shure, dont think that the spring is strong enough in them and they seem to cause cramp in you feet Those new titanium foot pegs in this weeks T+MX news- not tried them, not seen them, hoping for any input as to what they are like for grip etc. Apico 8mm lower foot pegs- i currently have these on my bike as i am not exactly short but dont particularly like sacers under mi barsm i think that they are wonderfull, however they have very sharp teeth on them so can to damage to your riding jeans as i have found out, or worse they could seriously damage your legs. also i would assume that…

Simple question... Are the new VEE rubber 400 x 18 trials tyres any good? If i want to save a few pennies is the Vee rubber any good for mud and roots , and possibly the odd rock. The trial pattern looks similar to the Michelin but what is the compund like?. Has anyone tried them? If an Michelin tubeless is 10/10 and a Pirelli MT43 is about 4/10 then what rating would you give the Vee rubber?. I did try the Barum a few years back and wasnt too impressed but the Vee rubber looks better and is tempting me back to the dark side of cheaper tyres but would like your advice before i do so. Comments for us skinflints please.

I think that Trials Central is a fantastic place for fellow trials enthusiasts to share their knowledge and enjoy light hearted banter, but..... ... I really do despair at the appalling level of spelling in many of the forum posts. Is spelling not on the curriculum these days at school?? Yours Victor Meldrew !!!

This woman right here 😎 I picked up a 1-owner '99 Sherco 2.5 (Graham Jarvis SSDT edition) this week, and finally had a chance to take it for a spin today ... I had completely forgotten just how lovely a modern-style bike is to ride, and this one is mechanically spot on It's fully road legal so I can go and roam without worrying about Rangers breathing down my neck (especially since the TY is noisy as hell) Lots of "roads" here are actually pretty good trials practice spots so it should mean the only limits now are time and how fit I am ... this is actually a road (as well as a river bed): However I do need to grow some ovaries 'cause I managed …

Hi all, I ride a vertigo DL 12 2021 and keep snapping the chain the middle of nowhere. As such, I'm looking to buy the strongest chain possible, which appears to be a RK chain. Unfortunately they don't do half links which a vertigo need (a 103 link chain). So I'm think about buying a new rear sprocket to fit a 104 link chain. I don't want to mess with how the bike rides, so does anyone know if changing the size of the rear sprocket makes much difference at all? And on the off chance, does anyone know what sprocket teeth count I'd need for a 104 link chain on a vertigo?

Dear All May I introduce myself, I am 45 years of age and have NEVER owned a trials bike, ok, I've said it, now that's out of the way! I did however, once enter a trial on a year old (at the time!!) Montesa Cota 349. This was owned by a friend who used to pick up a previous year's sponsored bikes from Robinson's in Rochdale. It was a cross discipline (not dressing!!)AMCA event, and open to anyone who could blag a bike. I didn't do well at all and fell off everywhere, but then again I was Moto X rider (limited skill!!) and tried to ride it somewhat similar!! Anyway, that was way back then, and although I thoroughly enjoyed it at the time, I've never followed it up, or …
