I have a sort of home made trials bike that has limited rear tire clearance. So my question is which of the nice sticky 18 trials tires is the narrowest in overall section width? THANKS for any help.

Hi, Today, while practicing slow wheelie, I looped out. Ever since, the idle of my bike became unstable. Each time I close the throttle, as the rev goes down, the rev goes periodical up and down until it settles at the idle. Then the idle itself is also unstable and stall after a while unless I keep blipping. I hope it is transient like the plug is wet or the carburetor got flooded, but so far it hasn't come back to the normal. I appreciate any suggestions to fix it.

Hi all iv been watching alot of the 80,s 90,s and 00,s World trials videos over the past few weeks as i injured my shoulder mountain bikeing. And obviously now I want another trials bike to injur my other shoulder on lol, looking at what alot of the 90,s bikes are capable of how much better realy is say a 2009 evo or rev3 over a 1999 techno, especially from a novices point of view. Obviously if your splatting 6ft rock faces I'd imagine the slight weight reduction will help, but from a middle of the road novice point of view? , Iv had a few bikes sherco betas gasgas all old ish early to mid 00,s versions iv got a budget of around 1500-2000 but thinking shall I go the othe…

Just out of interest today I was looking for the geometry of a beta rev 3, to compare it to a beta tr34 from the late 80,s just to see how much bikes have changed from that view point. after some Internet trawling I could not find the geometry charts for either bike, in fact not much info came up for any make which I was supprise about. I do abit of mountain biking and geometry charts are easy to find for pretty much any old shed, I'd would have thought with trials being a very technical sport geometry would be discussed a fair bit on here. Does nobody give a **** about the geometry of there bikes in the trials world or is it just a mountain bike obsession cheers.

OK, there aren't any cleans, loads of 3s and the odd 5 but i wouldn't ride on those terraces. Plenty of other videos on YouTube in the same vein to link to and there's one I've seen of them riding (clean) along the top of a wall/dam about 45cm wide. Loads of natural talent. Tenaci-Wong should be signing them.

Does anybody know what coating is that?? I looked around and those colors can be achieved with 3 different techniques: TiNi, DLC and Laser coating. This winter I m gonna do some work on my bike and I would like some of those colorful forks!! I found a couple quotes so far : Laser coating for $300 both tubes or DLC for $195 I havent found Ti nitrate from any USA based company yet! What do you guys know about them shiny tubes?? LMK

Hello people, I'm trying to find some suitable plastic guards for a couple of my projects namely a MAR and Cota 247, I'm aware of Goneli and Stilmotor but the Goneli requires bolting a second guard to it for the required length and the Stilmotor is longer but doesn't have the desired arch. I know that Inmotion had some rear translucent Goneli style longer guards a few months ago that were about 680mm end to end and about 930mm around the arch and some matching translucent front guards but they are sold out and they aren't planning on getting any more made. Those Inmotion guards would have been perfect for me but I couldn't afford them at the time and now that I …

I'll soon be 71years young and enjoying trials practice with a great bunch of riders on my 250cc trials bike I still get a buzz climbing steep gradients and tight turns over logs etc. but starting to need something much lighter and easier to kick start. I've considered a 125 but they don't feel much lighter than a 250 indeed a lot of the cycle parts are the same. So what are your thoughts of a 5ft 9inch 12stone 71 year young having fun on modern 80cc big wheel .

Hi all.Completley new to the trial scene.Just looking for some advice I’ve got a gas gas jtx just to practice on and learn before I get something newer. The foot pegs slope down towards the floor slightly on the end furthest away from the bike is this normal or should they be level.also is there any easy way to get the four bolts out of the clutch cover.ive tried giving the heads a tap but they are seized solid.Only reason I want to get to the clutch is it’s a bit heavy when i have to slip it in tight situations. Thanks in advance for any help.

Found a pretty good deal on a 1999 gasgas 270 and wanted to know if it’s worth buying as a first bike or not. The only other trials bike I’ve ridden is a buddy’s 2006 sherco 290. are these bike considered “same generation” or is there big differences and upgrades in those 7 years? and can you get parts for the 99 gasgas? anything specific to look for in these models tht go out a lot? i am trying to stay on a budget with my first one so I’ve been looking at stuff around $3k or less And he’s asking $1900 and may have a little room it’s supposed to be in Mint condition
