If the boots is not correctly installed and is only checked on new years day, there could be a reason for the bike running rough.

I'm relatively new to trials. I am going to move to a newer model bike and being a yamaha mx fan, I'm wondering why Scorpa bikes don't seem to be as popular as others with the pros. Is the bike ok and the other companys spend more to sponsor pros, or is their a problem with Scorpa?

Recently watched Ryan Young's trials training techniques, and I loved it! Does anyone know or can recommend any other similar DVDs? If so where would I get them from?

The most discussed curse of the entire trials bike: bleeding rear brakes. Actually it was a bit spongy, so I was flushing fresh fluid through, then trying to bleed it out better. 96 GasGas. The actuator is at the bottom, so the highest point on the master cylinder bore is above the inlet, and above the outlet. Done all the basics that are covered on every post: removed pads, shimmed pistons apart, syringe pressure from the caliper end. Pushed through as fast as possible. Piston bleed port port is uncovered. Work the pedal very small strokes. I am careful to not overstroke the piston (Ishy or Ringo's tip about drawing air in the piston seals on return stroke.) ok, its not the genuine article, but this works for me. Reminded me this weekend when changing fork oil: I use a plastic baby bottle to refill the forks. (when the springs/dampers are still connected at the bottom.) The baby bottle holds 300 ml. Cut off part of the very end of the nipple. The remaining part flexes and goes in between the spring coils and gets the oil in easily. Every other way I have used ends up with more on the outside than in the forks. k

I have an aprillia climber the green and white tank and water cooled with disc brakes. It will start and run but shows a distinct lack of power uphill then after about 30 - 40 minutes it cuts out and refuses to start again. I've stripped and cleaned carb. and it has a big fat spark i've changed the plug too. I've not had anything to do with aprillias and no one rides one in our centre so any help/suggestions would be appreciated

Anybody know of any trials clubs or shops or riding areas around the Toulouse area of France. I may be going there later on this year to work for a while and would be interested to know anything trials related around the area. regards N

Can anybody help with information and photo's on the bike that Armstrong developed in the mid-80's, as riden by John Lampkin ? It had an Alloy frame and was a Mono-shock with a 240/280 Rotax engine, i know that around 65 were made and badged as Armstrong and Can-Am's in 1986, and a further 10 more were made as 240cc CCM's in 1988. anyone know how to stop the exhaust rusting i can clean the worse of the rust off with wire wool but it will return. Pro-care can't cope with the heat and doesn't last long. I dont particularly want to spend a lot of money like chroming the exhaust.

Heres a good one for you...and I couldn't feel angry at my local dealer 'cause he's a really nice bloke. I asked him to get me some new soles for my Sidi boots...(i know for DEFINATE that they are available...even seen them in a factory catalogue from SIDI). Anyway...with a smile on his face he said...If I sell those, no-one will buy any more boots from me. GOOD POINT I said. ANd believe me..the uppers of SIDIS DO last for ever ..they are brilliant. SO>....my question is. DOes ANYBODY sell the Sidi soles????.........'cause I'd still really like to buy some!!!!

This could be an anomaly, but I don't think so... Recently, while trying to remove an AJP master cylinder for the first time in several years, the bolts that clamp it to the bars were seized in. This could either be from moisture, or from corrosion caused by the two different metals. Either way, they'll all get anti-seize from now on.

the oil drain plug on my 02 beta is stuck in and the allen key hole is chewed up. The drain plug doesn't have the fibre washer on either. I have removed the bashplate but there isn't a lot of the side of the bolt to grab. I have thought of cutting a groove in it with a hacksaw blade and undoing with a screwdriver and if that dont work put a screwdriver against the groove and give it a hit to loosen it. any better ideas? would leaving ice on it help?

Hi all, Its time to change the front tyre on my Beta Rev 3 I've already done the back one..which was OK...but I've never changed a front one before. I assume the bolt things are to grip the tyre on??..so presumably I have to undo those first??....but presumably they are pretty fiddly on replacing the tyre?...Then I guess I have to be pretty carefull not to pinch the inner-tube with the tyre levers. If any of you can give me some advice I'd really appreciate it. THANKS
