Hi there i have a 54 falcon 90 in trials trim. I converted the ignition system to electronic by using a Honda cub flywheel and CDI. This I fitted an additional mass that worked really well with loads of power but no instant get up and go, so was difficult to go over logs. I am putting the original magneto flywheel back on while I have another think. Does anybody know is there an advance curve for a Villiers 8E or is it fixed

Hi I am having some brake bleeding trouble, I have tried all of the methods known to mankind including syringes. I have now resigned myself to the fact I need a brake bleeder, Venhill, Ezi Bleed or similar. Does anyone have any thoughts as to which to buy or what not to buy?. I have four bikes so I don't mind spending a few quid if it will take the hassle out brake bleeding. Thanks in advance, Scragg

Hi all, I know there's some big engineer types on here, so thought I'd ask a little advice. I've been stuck for a while trying to do a few jobs because my bench vice wasn't up to much. Well I had a look around, and eventually bought a 'fairly cheap' vice off Ebay. A Record No.23 for those of you with no life :-) New these seem to be between

Im assuming i have to adjust my rear shock. Is it too stiff? Too soft? Not enough dampening or too much? Its an 08 Sherco and from the looks of it, the shock is pretty difficult to get to. Grrr... Much easier to do on my mountain bike.

Pretty new to they sport only last 2 to 3 years but wondered is it only trials that just about anyone will let you try there bike , I can't even say its only club members we know we've been at Nationals and never even met folk before and I've asked lads advice on bikes on behalf of my son next min. there thrusting the bike on him to have a shot. Someone with a brand new machine just say nice bike and there offering you a go (obvious they don't know how bad I am) , bike trouble lads are pulling spare bikes out of there van for you to use. So question is is Motocross and Enduro the same ?

Have a 07 rev3 and live in the middle of no where and the only products easily available are caltex oils from the local general dealer/gas station. Can I use their atf? What do I need to look out for? Quite sure its mineral and not synthetic. Thanks

Just curious back a few years ago it was mandated all bikes were going to have to be 4 stroke then the manufacturers got around it and 2 strokes survived but Honda has remained 4 stroke on the world level is that the only 4 stroke to competing now? I also noticed Honda advertises their new production model has a motor revamped to ride like a 2 stroke instead of offering a new 2 stroke engine. So i am wondering is the ruling 2 stroke is ok only temporary?

Hi all..Well I've just done my second trial and it's was a nightmare ,,,, I could only manage 2 of the 4 laps? just ran out of steam lol. I've done a few practice sessions n thort I was gettin a bit better but it's just not the same ha ha ... 9 of the 10 sections were in a river and I was spooked by that so didn't do very well but was I'm pressed by just about everone else's ridin on the day, especially the 14 year old kids who make it look sooo easy.. Got some great advice of the observers n other riders which was a great help but lack of ability n talent on my part showed. My mate came along who has loads of experience n had to drag my bike out of two of the sections.. …

I started a winter project , purchased a roached 93 GG GT 160 frame, subframe and swingarm , a Paoli USD Beta fork and 96 JT shock, the doner bike is a 2003 TTR 125, while waiting for the parts to arrive I rebuilt the engine with BBR 150cc kit, performance clutch and have a stock flywheel as well as a lightened one and a CRF 150 carb and will be converting to hydro clutch as well a fabricating carbon bodywork , airbox and tank. The idea is to have a little thumper with trials geo ( I hate the TTR geo) and I needed a long term project. So far I have cut the frame up to accommodate the engine fabbed up new engine mounts and tack welded it back together ( 1st pic), after …

Hello everyone, I am not a trial rider at all, I only enjoy watching the sport. I just have a short question I've been wondering about. Is there a video on Youtube for example, that shows how a trial section is being built? Because sometimes watching those constructions, it makes me wonder how the whole thing stays upright so sturdy. Sometimes it's obvious if it's a cement block or something, but for some very tall and relatively thin constructions, it seems like it should be fairly easy to knock down when "slamming into it" with a bike. So I'm wondering if there is a video where someone shows the process of building it, maybe talking about it as well. Thanks …

Evening all, just bought my first trials bike(2013 Beta 200) looking to improve my technical riding for enduro. Been out today for the first time and need to buy some bits so looking for advice. Levers, clutch and brake, looking for flexy levers as bent/snapped mine (Jitsie) today. Also clutch drags so am going to replace it, fitted a DP in my enduro bike, any good in a trials bike of should I buy OEM. Front mudguard any decent brands or again should I stick with OEM. Cheers

Hi all... I've moaned regularly on here about many of the threads getting wrecked on my Beta...especially those going into the frame..like the REAR bash plate ones. The common suggestion was to use Helicoil. SO...eventually I would like to purchase this kit? and learn how to use it...BUT I have no idea about the procedure etc. IF..anyone is doing one in the near future and wants to do me a MASSIVE favour..please post a few pics on what the tool looks like, and if possible...the procedure involved. GO ON...I'll be yer best mate. Cheers in advance if anyone has the time/energy to do this
