One of my sons has a Suzuki LT50 quad , it seems to take an inordinately long time to warm up ,spluttering with the choke on so i turn it off then it cuts out ,this carries on for quite a long time 8-10 minutes until it eventually clears and runs ok I have checked the plug ,made sure it is the right one ,cleaned the carby out with card cleaner and a compressor and cleaned the air filter and it still is reluctant to warm up cleanly and easily Any ideas ?? or is this quite normal for one of these ? p.s i know its not a trials bike query, but if Ishy can post about skunks then what the hell !!(no offence meant there Ishy!)

Quick question, are 2 stroke trials bikes generally pre-mixed fuel? Or do they have a seperate oil pump ala road going 2 stroke bike engines? Cheers Si

Well I got to try the new Montesa today, seen all sorts of posts about the bike on here from people who had seen it, or so and so had told them about it, not very many from people who own one and there must be a few about now, in fact I wondered why more new owners hadn't posted about the bike, could there be something wrong ?? i have just got a used sherco 04 250 and the tank is leaking on the tap and where the plastic comes out and further on the tap/plastic join any ideas what it is or what i should do?

I need to locate someone to rewind my ignition source coils on my 83 fantic 240 pro . I have two sets and neither pair is worth a s%%t. I also would like to locate a new coil trigger if possible. And does anyone have the test specs for the ignition because I can't find the ones I had ?!?... I am in the US, but if I have to ship it all across the pond I guess I will have to. Thanks... Glenn

I wonder which work's bike was/is the most radical/specialised/worked upon ever built. Could it be the HRC Honda ridden by Eddie Lejuene, Dougie's 315R or 4RT, the 4RT of Antonio Bou, maybe Jordi Tarres Gas Gas or the one ridden by Adam Raga. There must be loads more bikes that I have not even thought about, does anyone have an answer and do you know what went into the making of that bike?

I have a Scorpa 175 4st. The rear wheel has a Michelin tube type tyre fitted, which from what I have read on here isn't a patch on a tubless tyre for grip. Will using a Tubliss allow me to use a Michelin tubeless tyre? On a related question, I notice most of the newer bikes have a rear rim with the spokes fixed so they don't pearce the rim, where as some older bikes, specifically 2009 and 2010 Beto Evo's, have a different arrangement where the spoke holes have to be sealed on the inside somehow. From what I hear, this can be a bit hit and miss. Would a Tubliss make this more straight forward and reliable? I ask this because I have been considering getting a second hand E…

How long do rear wheel bearing last for you? I replace the one on my 4rt about 3-4 months ago with good quality skf bearings. Last night while I was installing a new sprocket I notices fhpse. Eating are already very notchy feeling, but there is any play yet. It seems to me they should last a whole lot longer. I mostly use the bike from trail riding. I would guess I have about 400 miles on these bearing. The have see their fair share of mud but never with more than a garden hose. I even Froze the bearing and heated the hub so I didn't need to use much effort to press them in when installed. Any thoughts? Thanks

As title suggests Im wondering from experience some of use have had from riding both 2 stroke and 4 stroke bikes what use think the advantages and disadvantages of both are. is one more user friendly , cheaper to run etc etc.

The last time I rode a trials bike it was in 1978. It was my late brothers Montesa Cota 248 if I remember rightly. I was 16 at the time. Oh the power compared to my Honda SS50 5 speed. Roll forward 40 years I decide I would like to have a go at trials. Ask for advice on here and get advised to buy maybe a 200 to 250 2 stroke or a 250 four stroke bike as they will do everything a novice wants and more. So what do I do? I purchase a Beta 300 Evo 2015. Collected it. got it home. Washed it. Admired it. Well today I decided to take it to my workshop that has a bit of waste ground adjacent to it and have a ride. Having not ridden regularly in trials for the past 20 years I was wondering what people’s thoughts are on when and what the biggest changes in bike design/technology have been? I continued to follow the sport so I’ve seen the bikes change but having not ridden them I have no idea of what impact these changes have actually made to the way the bikes ride. During one of my odd rides a few years ago I was talking to the dad of one of the guys I started riding with and he commented about how much better the bikes were, easier to ride and easier to do more on.
