Hi, new to trials. My lad not having much joy with bikes. Kick start on shaft broke against stop plate, hook gone round the back of return spring and made a right mess. Can anybody help with a breakdown of how it all goes back together or what is missing. I have a parts diagram but a photo would be helpful. Any information would be a great help. Cheers. Trialling, a cracking sport. Everyone always willing to help with anything. Cheers.

Hello, has anyone heard of a lighter spring that will fit a sachs rear shock on my 2019 Beta Evo 250. Apparently, an Ohlins spring doesn't fit . I'm only 9 1/2 stone and i find the standard one is too firm. Any other setting suggestions are also welcome Thanks

Hi everyone. I'm totally new to trials, and to fourms! . I just bought a 2007 rev 250 4-stroke. All I could afford at the moment. I'm just wondering where would be the best place to source parts? I can't seem to find anything on line. Every search seems to throw up parts for the 2504t RR )which I assume is a beta enduro bike)? Or the 2stroke trials, but not the 4stroke. I want to service it and do fork seals and replace a few bits etc. Thanks in advance Noel.

Hi To All, Bought myself a Beta Rev3, a while back and have been slowly rebuilding back to a decent standard, got a problem though, sent the Barrel and Piston off to JETBORE in April, not received it back, just a whole load of excuses, Lost in Post, i have been off with a bad back, try phoning them and e-mailing them, no answer, suprise suprise.....Now bought a full top end off this great website, from a top bloke, George in Ayshire... So hopefully will be out on it next week, Can't wait, was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with JETBORE... If you have'nt beware, don't send them your hard earned cash, you may be let down badly. On a brighter note, the Beta is…

Hi All Im new to these 2 stroke thingies. Bought a Beta TR34 (i think) from ebay. Sold as a project bike so not expecting too much. I did however expect to go forwards. The bike just about runs but wont rev cleanly at all. Climb onboard, clutch in, into gear & bike goes backward through my legs. After much laughter from all around it sinks in I may have bought a lemon or something from a circus act. The engineer in me says how is this possible. I assume if the spark happens in the wrong place there is nothing to stop the engine going backwards. Seeing the other posts on the site this is not uncommon. Guess I need to check the timing etc. Does any one have a work…

I am currently trying to build a Beta 270 Rev 3 from a box of bits. Alternator fitted to the bike is 6 pole. I do not have the matching CDI unit. In the box is a complete Lionelli CDI/coil system. Can anyone advise me if it is possible to adapt one to the other. I can supply wiring details for the parts in question

Hi, I Just bought a Beta Techno Dougie Lampkin replica. It was in terrible condition as the previous owner neglected the bike big time. I had to buy it, as what a waste of a bike. But to be honest, i think i paid a bit too much for the bike in the condition it was in (£600). On closer inspection nearly every bearing has gone on it and will all need replacing. I am on the lookout for a wokrshop manual. I have the owners manual but it doesn't really go into too much detail. I have started the restoration of the bike and i am finding it hard to source parts for it. I will try to upload some pics when i can.

Hiya, I have a beta tr32 250cc. The coil developed a fault a few years ago and I got a second hand replacement one from a local shop. The bike has a healthy spark but despite a day of kicking it over and trying a wide range of flywheel positions it won't start. However it did start briefly but was spinning backwards! Can I fit a strobe light to it and spin engine with a drill etc to see when the spark is compared with top dead centre? Any help would be great. Been watching classic two day recently in Isle of Man and now got the bug.

Hi all. Well, at the age of 57 I finally get the opportunity to have a bash in the world of trials! (I think). Always been fascinated by the sport and love everything to do with off-road. I’ve been a road rider for 40 years and have only limited off-road experience with 2 sessions at Mick Extances enduro school in Wales and one go at ‘Trials Day’ which I thoroughly enjoyed. I’ve always wanted a trials bike but could never really decide how to make it work for me. I don’t have a garage or workshop so the maintenance side would be tricky (and a faff), plus, I never knew anywhere I could ride or practice so always put a purchase off. I’ve since however discovered th…

Well I'm kinda sorta new on here and never actually introduced myself, I know how rude! I'm newer to the trials world I've been learning for about 5 months I believe. I'm currently riding a 94 175cc JT160 GAS GAS. I do not compete just yet but I hope to in the near future I want to get better with my turns which I royally suck at at the moment. I've finally become more comfortable with rocks but those darn anthills still defeat me.. I will get my revenge one day.. But any way back to Earth.. I hope to make some friends on here and hopefully learn some new stuff..

At school (long time ago), the teacher told me to say: "how do you do", when you meet English people... already spend some time around reading (I tought, that's a "lurker" in English, isn't it?) I believe the community here is quiet international, but now Andy can add a number in the Belgian departement. Started with trials +- a year ago, and sowly the light is getting brighter Since a couple of months I own a Beta 4T, so the 'BETA' topic has my special attention. See (read) you around... Chris

Hi All I am new to trials after not riding for 25 years, I am looking at buying a bike and people I have spoken to are saying bikes are overpriced at the moment due to Covid. What are your thoughts? Should I wait to buy a bike and are the prices higher than usual? Many thanks.
