Hi, thanks for reading this. I am wanting to get into motorcycle trials as it looks really good fun. I have started speaking to local clubs to get myself started in that way. Very soon I will be needing to get myself a trials bike to play with. Now i am thinking that as a begineer who hasnt really ridden a motorbike before, i need to get myself a starter bike. Something that doesnt cost too much and is easy to learn on. After reading some things on the net it looks like i should be looking for a bike of around 250cc as I am 26 years old and a 125cc may be a little underpowered. Can anyone advise me on some bikes that would be suitable please. Would

Afternoon all! I have just got home from collecting a 2003 Beta Rev 3! I'm a motocross racer from saaaaafalk (Suffolk) and wanted to try this in the off-season for balance, clutch control etc! My bike... It has some splooge coming from the exhaust where the middle section joins the silencer! I believe I can repackage the silencer but would need an ally welder to weld it back up! Anyone know where I can replace the silencer? Thank you!

Intro. Hi, I’ve been into trials for a year and a half, started on an old gasser 250 1999, then bought a 04 Sherco 290 and rebuilt it to ride, but ended up getting a 66 plate Montesa 4RT which I ride regularly, joined SDMCC and ride practice with some great people at Poles Wood in Essex. I’m 52 and still bounce quite well.

Hi all I have recently been introduced to riding a Trials bike, and a friend is doing a very good job in talking me into to buying one. It's a 2000 Beta Rev 3 and looks to be in good condition, but needs one or two tweeks. My concern is, where can I ride it? At some stage I'm sure I'd be up for a beginners Trial competion but I'd like to learn the style of riding it first. I know about Muddy Wheels which is good value up in North Devon, but I'm wondering if there are places closer to home (Plymouth)? Grateful for any advice. Cheers, Slick.

Hi im looking to get back into trials again, have not ridden for 14 years still have my old twin shock fantic and my old whitehawk that i got when i was 11 so im going to restore them, but im also on the lookout for an 07 sherco 250.. Been itching to get back into the sport for years, but lack of money, houses and weddings got in the way. If anyone can point me in the direction of a good local is place to pick up a used trials bike that would be great. I did have a 02 gas gas for a year and i bought that from a place in halstead i think but im not sure it still exists now?! cheers Ben

Hi all, Just a quick hello before launching into what will probably end up as a massive list of questions for you fine (and from what i've read so far very knowledgable) folk! Have been riding for about 20yrs now but decided to admit defeat with the modern stuff and have a do at this twinshock game! Have bought a Fantic 240 and am having more fun than I have in years. She's currently stripped and being prepped for a (hopefully!) great year of riding in 2012! Speak soon!

Hi, ex yorkshireman and trials rider from back in the '70's (325 bultaco), now living in the south island of new zealand. Just getting back into the off road stuff, after years of road riding. Built myself a classic style trials out of a XL 200 which had been run over by a tractor .....it was a wee bit bent !!!! but it's straightened up and morphed into a trials bike quite well .Had a few practice rides to sort out a few things with set up, and the old technique is coming back nicely. First trial in a couple of weeks, looking forward to it. Will try and put some pictures of the bike on forum.....when i've worked out how, will proberbly be in the honda section. …

Hi guys, Some may remember an event at Eadensfield just outside of Dronfield. It's where you'll find me this year. I only started trials riding 2 years ago but didn't ride at all last year due to work. I'm back on it this year though and really want to enter a few trials. My current ride is a 2006 Gasgas 280 but I'm looking for a Beta 250 4t so if you know if any for sale then let me know Cheers Dave

  18. Hi All, totally new to motorbike trials, rode MTB trials as a teenager. Purchased a 2006 TXT Pro 250 2 weeks ago and with no bike experience I am stripping cleaning and learning about my new toy!! I have enjoyed motorsport (tarmac rallying) both competing and spectating for many years and now. First issue is horrid clutch drag so this weekend I learnt how to remove that. I've also ordered a slow response throttle whilst I learn to ride and some other service and essential bits! I have attached a couple pics. Look forward to chatting soon. Regards Steve
