Hi im Mick from west Yorkshire, Ive just got myself a TY175 after not having one for about 10-11 years and ive picked up a TY50 single seat for my 9 year old boy to start out on. Never thought I would get back on a trials as im parlysed bellow the knee both legs and have a cobalt chrome hip. But with the miracle of carbon fibre wrapped around my lower legs and a good pair of boots im going to give it another go because I cant really play football with the boy so ive got to do something to get him outside with me, kids today.

Hi everyone. I'm new to this web site but not to trials. I started riding Observed Trials when I was 12 on a Honda TL-125. I worked for my Dad back then and he paid me $1.00 an hour. When I saved up enough money for half the price of a TL-125 my Dad put in the other half to buy the bike and get me into Trials. My first trophy I got was in the novice class in 1974 and I had "0" points for the day. That trophy was hand made by Jerry Young from PA out of cast iron. That's my favorite trophy. Then my parents bought me a 1974 Bultaco Sherpa-T 350. I did really good riding the Bultaco and Bultaco sponsored me. I was getting bikes for half price and free parts, which my parents …

Helo All, My mate & I bought a 2007 Beta Rev3 today. Our goal is to cross-train for enduro & dual-sport trail riding on our KTM 400's. I suspect we'll be adding trials comp's soon though. We'll share he bike. We'd be glad to hear from any trials riders in the New York City metro area, especially if you have a local riding area. We're not afraid to travel. We haul our trail bikes from North Carolina to Rhode Island for opportunities. There's just enough room in the truck to tuck in the Rev3 along with the KTM EXC's. Other than adding a slow turn throttle, we're good to go. Cheers, Glenn & Janet (aka "jersey")

Hi all. Went to my first trials meet 2 weeks ago and thought i must have a go before i get to fat or old! Just bought a 1978 Montesa Cota 348 in very good condition, I am not looking to be the next "Dougie" just to have some fun and do the easier sections. So, now i have the excuse to loose weight and get fit and the added benefit of joining a great sport. Jim

Hi all .... just thought I would drop in. I have been riding for along while and have always been interested in trials but have never participated. After going to an AHRMA event near here I don't know why I stayed away so long. Anyhow I have found a bike and am in the process of making it workable to practice and compete on next season so I am looking forward to that. Most of my riding experience has been enduros and trails with a little mx along time ago. Thanks Sam

Hi All I am new to trials after not riding for 25 years, I am looking at buying a bike and people I have spoken to are saying bikes are overpriced at the moment due to Covid. What are your thoughts? Should I wait to buy a bike and are the prices higher than usual? Many thanks.

Hi the names Bob I'm in Somerset England , I was helping a mate at work build a bsa bantam trials bike in the workshop I finished up buying the bike taking it home and finished it off over the next few months ( about a year ago ). Bike sat in the garage looking pretty but unused until about a month ago I decided it was now or never I had to start trialing. Dropped myself in the deep end a bit, I took the bike to a local MX practice track to see if it all worked ok for a few hours mostly riding off track amongst the trees etc, any way apart from a few minor problems all went well , so the next week (nov 18th) I entered my first trial with no proper practice , just w…

I just jumped in, somewhere in Februari this year, but realises that nobody knew me then, or now I am the guy from overseas, an elderly young of 42 years, who started in Januari when i found it was time to follow up my childs dream. I bought myself a Pro 250cc Gasser from a frensch speaking belgian to discover at home that french speaking belgians don't like to clean airfilters. So this brings me to my other hobby, wrenching. I am not professionally skilled but that won't bother me a bit. I have made some expensive errors along the way, like seized pistons etc but nothing that stopped me permantely. Beside the Gasgas i own two more bikes, a 250cc 2 stroke enduro bik…

Hi Please can anyone help. I am trying to identify the bike in the photo. It was ridden by G Naylor during a trial held somewhere in the Yorkshire Dales during the 1950s. The exhaust looks quite distinctive but as a non motorcycle person I am struggling. My Dad (The dashing young cove in the photo) is 85 next week and we are trying to arrange a surprise for the big day. Any help appreciated. Thank you

Hello everyone, I'm a complete novice when it comes to trials. Live is Sligo, Northwest of Ireland. Day job is a motorcycle instructor when there's enough work. Please see www.mrtg.ie ( not touting for business, just some further info.) Found the site via web search about sticking clutch on my Sherco 290 just arrived yesterday. I will try the suggestions. Well again hello and I'm sure I will meet some of you in the future after I've fallen off a few times. Bye for now.
