Come back again and started to have a play 😁 Any road up, I have a beta rev3 200cc 2002 bike and all of a sudden I have no spark at all. Have shook a few wires and nothing. It happen before, checked the coil. No probs. How do you check a stator ? Cheers Scotch.

Does anyone know the wire gauge to rewind a stator on a GasGas TXT? I get that I can measure the existing one but I can't get the flywheel off without the tool which is on order. How many volts should I get from the stator? I am getting about 10 VAC which seems low. Thanks, Kevin

Hi, I am looking for advice on this ignition system. The bike was running great and then died. I have good compression and air/fuel. I have no spark. New spark plug. Checked plug wire and boot - 5000 ohms - good. Stator has 1 yellow wire coming from it. I get 10 volts AC from the stator when spinning engine with a drill. The regulator/rectifier outputs 9 to 10 volts DC and the rad fan runs when I spin the engine with the drill. No spark when I spin with the drill. I am guessing the above suggests low voltage so maybe a bad stator - should I have 12 volts DC or maybe 14 or more like a car?. Note that there is no battery or charging…

Just purchased Montesa Cota 200 with engine/frame number 29M02572. I'd appreciate any help in finding out year of manufacture and what the actual numbers/letter(s) mean. Many thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, nice to meet you all. I have finally bitten the bullet after many years of daydreaming and purchased a good 1998 GasGas TX125 CONTACT from a friend. He stopped riding it beasuse of Parkinsons problems. These machines are totally different from the old twin shock TY174 and 250 I used to ride. Does anyone know what the best oil is for this engine? There`s so much conflicting advice floasting around and I can`t seem to find the right answer. My friend just used to get someone else to service it and has no clue what oil was used. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Getting a model 199A ready for the season after taking a few years off from trials, so I plan to post some questions in the Bultaco section. This is my 3rd T, the first one I got in 1974 when I was a junior in high school, the second one I rode back around 2006-2008 or so. Most events are through the Mid Atlantic Trials group, that runs most events in PA with some in Ohio, WV, and Maryland.

Hi All, I'm returning to trials after nearly 30 years off. I've been riding an Electric Motion Race 2020 model for almost a year now and loving getting back into things, though it's amazing how much has changed. I'm based in North Yorkshire and have joined both Guisborough and Croft trials clubs, really impressed with both. If you see me out and about, stop by and say hello Ade.

Hi there. I first rode in trials in my teens. I was pretty crap, but I loved it. In my 20s I went scrambling. In my 30s I went hillclimbing. In my 40s I was still hillclimbing In my 50s I tried classic trials on a Cub. In my 60s I started greenlaning. I also bought a Montesa 4ride. That encouraged me to try Long Distance Trials. I love those and now on the eve of my 70s I am thinking of trying club trials again. How easy are Bradford Club trials? Am I making a big mistake?

Hello Trials forum: I just signed up. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I would call myself an eccentric collector of a little of everything... In the dirt on 2 wheels I currently have: 1) an '72 Ossa MAR 250 that I found in a guy's shed. It is pretty complete. The fenders had been sawn off for some reason and it had no spark. I put a new ignition in it and just because ordered the one with lighting output. The bike has no lighting on it now and I want to install just because... Are wiring harnesses available as well as lighting hardware? WHat should I do for a voltage regulator. I would go with original/replica preferably. 2) The rest of my off road tw…

Ever since learning about motorcycles I've loved the idea of small, light, low power bikes that are fun. I got started on an XR-75 as a full grown adult and I've owned a variety of dirt bikes and other motorcycles. Most recently a honda sl125 which I put trials tires on figuring it will be as close as I ever get to owning a legit trials machine. I had that bike for a couple years and k used it on the street as well as back roads and trails but it was not one you could wheelie confidently. One day while riding a friends property in the hills, I started to give him a hard time about still not having fixed his TLR200 honda. His response "why don't you fix it. G…
