Hi, I have been told that you can run an M-80 250 with a 626, could it run ok on a 625 as I have a good on in my garage. What are the main differences between them ,625 has a cold start lever not a tickler so it may be a model 1.5,

Hi I have stripped all paint off headstock, original machining marks still on it (from turning) no sign of any number, did they put numbers anywhere else on frames? I have attached pics of head stock.
Any comments welcome

Hi, I have scraped all paint off headstock and cannot find a frame number. The heabstck looks like a different material from rest of frame and it didnt have original silver paint(frame has been painted a horrible colour over original) Could frame be more recent than engine, it looks like M-80 and has slimline tank seat unit. Could it have been altered? See link for photos

Hi Greeves thanks for help, similar to that with single lug at front slotted for bolting to frame, does the filter just sit in there or is there a frame inside?
Cheers,

Hi, just took seat/tank unit off and no air filter fitted. what filter and do I need extra bits to locate/hold the filter? Also found engine no. but where is frame No?
Cheers

Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it, what a brilliant forum this is, everyone is keen to help. I will keep asking questions and posting photos as I work on it. Had it fired up but its a bit ropey, had to put in a new plug (NGK BP5ES) think this is ok, then had to bump her. Just remembered how hard neutral is to find with engine running. Looks like carb is choked up with 2 stroke oil and petrol mix is heavy on oil. What is good oil and ratio for it?
Cheers Myson
