  1. I have a Montesa 200 1982 model and have had trouble with the kickstart assembly gears. Having made numerous enquiries from a variety of places from Sandifords to breakers, I have reached the conclusion I am going to have to have the gears made. Apparently it was a design fault on my model ( red frame, white tank) and a common problem. Good luck. The odd time such assemblys appeared on E Bay they were either the later Honda Montesa model or I missed out in the bidding!
  2. Hi, I use a Dave Cooper rack on a Toyota Rav 4 and the vehicle is spot on for a bike rack. My model has the back wheel on the rear door and is handy for strapping to. I bought the rack second hand and it is one of the 4x4 racks. The bike did lean in a bit so we cut and welded the arms on the rack to shorten them a bit and the bike now sits upright. Hope this is helpful.
  3. Just a comment in support of the 125 Scorpa. I am now 62 years of age, of limited ability, but love pottering around on my bike. I ride easy trials, usually easy route and now find the little four stroke Scorpa suits me down to the ground. I am really surprised more people in a similar position to me, either just starting out, or wobbling around at the tail end of their riding career, don't try one. I think sometimes it is a bit of a fashion thing because people who have tried my bike are full of praise for it. It won't win a world round, but then neither will I.
