  3. Id have a good look around the gear cogs etc to see where the metal flakes may of originated when your there aswell !!!! But I guess you had thought of that.
  4. If theres no damage or vertiacal play in the Crank (big end) bearing. I would guess just new main bearings and seals would do you ok

    sound like the carb float has stuck open. try tapping side of bowl with the handle of a screw driver sometime wakes it up. Stripe and clean would be a good idea though

Normal stuff like exessive engine noise, water in tranmission fluid, wheel bearing head stock bearings depending on the year check for damage on the radiator and casing, ( on the newer model 2007 to 2010) put bike on a track stand so both wheels are off the ground, now lift up the back wheel there should be no play in the linkage if th re is more than 2 inch you may have to replace any number of the many bushs etc in the linkage but not a big problem. water leaking through water pump casing I understand is any issue with the pre pro years. I have just brought a 04 250 pro and it is a fantastic bike. Im sure there is more knowledge in the forum but this is what I was told to look for

    we use 2 stroke from morrisons petrol station. Try repacking the end can of the exhaust if it ran bad on a different carb. they need repacking quite often.

    What oil are you using? Synthetic is to strong for the 50 cc. we have had good results with a quality Mineral 2 stroke 70:1 still, . number 5 plug is good and re pack the exhaust no better . Air screw is 3 turns out on ours. Hope this helps

  15. fan on nippers bike has only come on twice since xmas, new thermostat fitted and fan spins when thermostat is bypassed with a small wire. How would I know if engine is not over heating and the fan would cut in before it did.
