August 16, 201016 yr Hi...just bought a 2005 Txt280...the clutch seems very stiff...it works fine...wondered if anyone had any ideas as to why...thanks Steve
August 16, 201016 yr the 05 had a stiff spring and the clutch pak thickness may be out of spec - changing the leverage the fingers provide. The 06 spring is aprox 20% lighter. Works great on a 05 provided everythng else is OK.
August 17, 201016 yr I have the same issue. As Laser1 says clutch pack thickness is the problem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0adW9BsAN4...feature=related for the solution
August 18, 201016 yr My wife had the same issue with her's. Replaced the clutch spring with a later model (06 I think) spring and it's much better.
