Apparently big thumpers do burble on the overrun

It's not backfiring on hill climbs only on the shut off when ya Rev it

Carb boot tight, there is a rubber seal on the hot start that beta say can cause a backfire so might be worth a look on yours, strange with the bad weather with mine today though ?

Hey guys I've had a few problems lately with the backfiring issues , it turned out that the exhaust wasn't sealed correctly which sorted it out , but then it's started with a new problem , somebody told me to richen the carb so I dropped the needle to the bottom setting on the pin but when it warmed up a had a different problem it would be hard to start , if I blipped the throttle the idle would drop below and nearly stall so I have taken the pin up 2 settings and its backfiring again I'm gonna drop it down one and see what that is like , but my question is , I went out today in really bad weather and as soon as it got into the wind and rain it ran really bad , was hardly ticking over and backfiring like mad , when the weather calmed down it ran a lot better could this be a sign of anything , any help would be appreciated cheers guys

Put new plug in dropped pin to bottom done nothing !!! p****d right off now

Somebody told me that they run them lean to pass emotions when they are new which makes them run badly , backfire drop the pin down I dropped mine down one and it's running a lot better just waiting for my new plug and I'll drop it down to bottom setting , that billyt knows his stuff

Cheers folks I'll try the main jet first , air mixture is ok so don't think it's that , someone said they go through spark plugs so I'll bang a new one in hopefully do the trick

Yep I've managed it , it was on the 3rd from bottom so I've moved it to second from bottom , it sounds mint but don't know until I have a go tomorrow , thanks for your help , life savers

Hey guys need some advise I've just bought a beta Evo 300 4t 2014 when its cold it backfires really loud is that normal? I had a delay in 4th like a bogging so I took it to the garage and they said the airscrew was only 1 and a half turns , it seems better since it has come back but it still does it slightly I was kinda hoping the backfire may mean something , it sound ok when it's warm but I can still feel something is not quite right , any help would be much appreciated

it sounds like your cylinder head gasket matey, dont think you can get the head off without droping the engine,big job unfortunaty , sorry

hey folks,can anybody advise me on the best way to polish my frame. i have a beta 04 and its got the usual scratches on the swing arm and frame, im thinking of getting a soft grinder to get the bad ones out then go down in the courses of fine sand paper then some rubbing compound,is that the best way or does anybody know a better way,cheers guys:)

hey guys ,please help me,its doing my head in haha,i have a beta rev 3 o4 model, when i rev it or put the engine under labour,it back fires and splutters, until i rev it high,and it clears it out, sort of, ive striped the carb down to nothing and it is still doing it, ive been on the forums and got good advice how to clean the carb properly,and would probably say,that ive done it right,but you never know, i hav,nt changed the spark pug,and ht lead so thats my next job,has anybody got any idea,s, could it be the timing thats moved or something?

i have allways had problems with my carb, if i lean it over in any direction ,petrol comes out the 2 breather pipes on the carb, ive tried cleaning it ,but dont really know how to properly, i have a feeling it is blocked or something:)

hey guys,please help, i have 2 problems,the first one ive said in the title and the second one is , when the revs are low and you gas it quick ,it sounds like there is not enough juice getting to it,but ive cleaned the carb i think,although i dont really know what i,m doing, can anybody help me please, oh its a rev 3 04 model,cheers chris
