  1. Are these the same bearings that fit the Fantic 201 headstock? Mine have rusted and collapsed and there is nothing readable on any part of them apart from what looks like portugal. I have found some that say they fit the 301 and a fiat 500 front inner wheel
  2. http://www.billetpar...up-c-41_52.html while looking for new fork top nuts and engine breather i found these. the fork top nuts are about £8 cheaper than any others i have found.
  3. Does anyone know where i can get a pair of spring or circlips to fit the inside of my 35mm marzocchi forks? I have all the components together now but dont want to start putting them together till i have the circlips. Would a pair of 47mm circlips from ebay do the trick? I would just like to find the plain spring type if possible. Thanks
  4. sorted. a few gentle taps from underneath with a pair of open pliers and they came loose, flew across the shed actually but job done
  5. yes thats more or less it. i have stripped the forks and took out the circlip and removed the rod assembly but the new forks came with the alloy bushes that are in the middle of your pic. i just want to dis assemble my rod/bush assembly to use my rods with the new bushes and circlips that came with the forks. maybe i need to get my hammer out!
  6. I will do my best to describe my problem. I have some new fork tubes and they came with a bush and circlip fitted but no damper rod. by looking at my old damper rod i can only guess that it comes apart from the bottom (the bit that takes the bolt through the bottom of the fork leg)If i hold the rod with grips and the bottom bit as mentioned above with another pair,i can get them to move around freely but they will not come apart. Please can somebody point me in the right direction as i am proper stumped

    fork tubes

its a 201 i think, the engine and the frame both say FM350 on them. it is a mono shock rear with a disc up front and a drum at the back. the engine is 156cc and forward kick. i emailed ABE about fork tubes and they said a re chrome for one stanchion would be

    fork tubes

i have just finished stripping the forks and had a surprise the left leg had 2 fork seals in it and the right one had 3 one stanchion is in good condition but the other has some pitting. i will degrease and paint and fit new seals but i think i will have to fill the pits with chemical metal or something. what quantity of oil should i put in? one had no oil in and the other had about a teaspoon of brown water. the engine is back together so when i have the forks sorted i will start on the frame. am considering blasting and powder coating if i can get away with a cheap repair to the forks. fingers crossed it should be getting dirty again by july

    Fantic 403?

as with all fantics it will be the splines on the shaft that are ruined. a quick fix is to weld a kickstart on there but it really needs an engine strip and new shaft (about

    201 forks

oh yes,the 2 cms of movement are due to the fact the spring is snapped about 2" down

    201 forks

well i managed to get one fork seal out (completely destroyed in the process)and there is another one underneath! i think i will just leave it there as it is doing no harm.

    201 forks

update.i have separated the fork with 2 cms of play in it and it looks like it has 2 seals in it. is this correct? i am going to give them a good soak and clean before i remove the old seals but all seems to be going pretty well at the moment

    201 forks

I have just bought a pair from ebay and am confused! they are both a bit leaky so i will be fitting new seals and oil but one of them has about 2cms of up down movement before any spring resistance is felt! surely this is wrong. is there a diagram of the fork internals anywhere i could ave a look at? also, ebay fork seals are 35x47x7 but motohaus leak proof seals for the same thing are 35x47x10. i would like to get the seals before i start pulling them apart so i don't have them lying about in bits for ages. another also! any info on weight and amount of oil per leg would be appreciated. ta very much guys n gals.
