Ok thanks for the heads up. I can get some foam from work I think, anyone have a link to this airbox cover? Looking forward to riding it as not been out on it yet. Rear brake pedal bush a little worn/ loose and the throttle seems a little stiff so need to look into that, prob a easy fix but I have noticed a crack in the outer sheath of the throttle cable so maybe it's letting water in? Either way a cheap fix what ever the issue is. Cheers Adam

hi all I have been using this in my 315r with good results and I love the smell... I have just bought a 2011 beta evo 250 which has Been run on putoline TT trials. Is there any benefits to running either 2 stroke oil and if the castrol a747 was the preferred what would I need to do to start using this? Thanks

I will take the bike out and try it with out then with and see the difference. I have given the bike a quick look over and it needs a bush in the rear brake pedal, and a new throttle cable as the outer sheath has split, also need rear wheel bearings other than that it's good. The tick over is a little fast but it's not been ridden for a while so might settle down. I haven't looked but I read a review on the 2011 and it said it had a drain on the air box? Cheers

Thanks for replies I have been looking but can't find any rears, I assumed you could still buy them, if you can use 4rt rears that would be good but knowing how would be nice. I am looking at buying a newer bike now and keeping the old 315r for a spare or project bike

Hi all, I have just purchased a 2002 315r. I haven't taken it out as yet but was just thinking can you still buy plastics for them? Had a quick look on the Internet and most shops say there discontinued? Also on another topic is elf the best gear oil to use? If so what is the interval between oil changes? I don't ride like a motor cross rider and I am only a novice, I used to use Gp10 in my beta and changed every 3-5 rides out but read the old girls only like elf? Thanks in advance Adam

Thanks for the reply, It doesn't seem to rattle really so maybe only the rings need doing? This will give it more go I suppose?. I will check the gearing now and post the results. My mates does have 11/41 so that could account for the gap difference but 1 tooth would that make all the difference, prob about 1" extra gap? Cheers Adam

I heard the 08 carb was better, I may put a new piston in soon, what's the best/easiest way of checking?, the rubber flap should last years it's only worn so quick cos it's touching the rear tyre, my mates don't? Adam

I thought it just gave you a new edge? Thus giving better grip? Cheers adam

Thought it could be ignition timing, just wondered if anyone had any pics of what to look for, carb wise it seems to run fine, might take carb off and clean jets etc, does any one have any standard carb settings to check against? The rear tyre does seem close like the chain is tensioned to much or to short, don't think swing arm shrunk! Ha ha. I am sure it hasn't always been like that, anyone no how many links the chain should be and how should the chain be tensioned ie chain block 25mm from swing arm? Also what's the srandard gearing? Mines 11/42? Cheers Adam

Happy new year all Just a quick couple of questions, I have freshened my bike up over winter, with some new parts etc ready for the new season, and need a few things pointing out. 1. My mate has just bought a 08 rev 3 250 and his seems to have more compression and feels more about it, both have fly wheel weights on but his noticeabley crisper, any idea's? is it time for a piston change? 2. Also I turned my tyre round to get abit more life out of the tyre and fitted a new shock guard rubbe flap, I have put the wheel back on and now for some reason the rear wheel is nearly touching the swingarm and the rubber flap has worn after three trials. The chain is the same? Any ideas?? I might be being thick and if so point it out nicely! Ha Cheers all Adam
