Hi all, my '06 REV3 270 is acting up sort of like the stator is starting to give up the ghost. How can I check this out with a multimeter? Or can I even check it? Symptoms were misfire then no spark at all, cool for a bit and it would restart though it wouldn't rev much at all. Made it home and pulled the sparkplug, using a fresh plug to check for spark. It was very weak. After it cooled completely the spark was a bit better but still anemic. Anyone have a test procedure?

sounds like a stator issue to me.

I bought a Rev3 270 recently and the p.o. had some red colored oil in it, said it was Honda oil or something. So what works well in these bikes? My KTM runs Rotella 15/40 in the tranny. My old 2smoke ran Maxima gear oil but it would cause the clutch to squeal if I abused it. So what is the oil of choice in my Beta?
