  1. Hi guys, Here is a pic of the bike uner the tank so you can get an idea of what we are working with. He has managed to get the tank to fit with the coil etc in this configuration, but I am pretty sure it is the wrong way round and we are really keen to get everything fitted as it should, as it is not fitting wuite right. So if anyone has a similar set up that they can shed some light upon or pics of the proper set up that would be fantastic. Thanks again for all the help guys.

  3. Thank you for the replies guys, it is actually an 04 and I think it differs from the pics that you have shown. I will try and get a pick of underneath the tank and show you. I think the coil and the condensor are different to other years. I will try and get a pick up soon. Thanks again for the replies and the effort Lewis, tankygsy and JSE, its much appreciated.
  4. Just wondering if you guys might be able to help...basically my friend has TXT 280 Pro and he had to have a new coil fitted, when he went to pick the bike up from the shop they had the bike running but they were unable to get everything fitted back in so that the tank could sit flush, he waited for a couple of hours and still no joy so he thought he would be able to sort it himself and took the bike home. Long and short of it is, the bike has sat since and had no joy fitting the stuff back in. I was hoping that one of you guys might have a similar bike and could take a close up pic of underneath tank or a good description of how to refit everything so that we can try and figure it out from there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  5. Thanks Guys, Now on to the really stupid bit, when you are saying right hand fork are we talking on or in front of bike....or to make to make it easier for myself lol Disc side or non disc side??? I had put it on disc side between spacer and fork leg but the disc does seem to be rubbing a little.
  6. Hi there, I have just bought my first trails bike a Beta 250 2005. The bike was sent to me crated with the front wheel off and the spindle on the forks....Just a quick question with regards to a washer that was on the spindle...should this washer indeed be on there and would it be on the outside of the spacers...(poss at the Disk Side)??? I would have thought that there would have been nothing either side of the spacers but not sure. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  7. Ah thats a good bit of advice about the rims. Thanks
  8. Absolutely fantastic advice there tankygsy...and greatly appreciated...even more so as done via iPhone ( mine would have been bounced off the wall by the first paragraph.) You sound like the type of guy I would like to buy a bike from...and definitely the guy I would like to have with me when buying a bike. Thanks so much, and Andy I think we have our definitive list!!!
  9. Hi there, I am new to trials side of things and I am in the process of trying to find a second hand bike. Unfortunately I am on a tight budget and cannot afford to splash out on a new bike. One thing that I am wondering is if there is a way to tell of the genuine age of a trials bike. I know that with off road bikes you can tell from the frame and engine numbers...Is this the same for the Trials? Also if any of you have any tips to look out for when buying a second hand bike these would be greatly appreciated as well...or even better if you know of any good bikes for sale in Scotland or North England any info would be fantastic. Thanks in advance for your help.
