  1. Cheers, on a related issue John also said there were pattern pistons that went beyond the genuine ones max oversize.Anyone had any experience of these? As i haven't got a barrel to look at i'm not sure how much meat they have on them beyond the +1mm.
  2. Thanks for that, now i can see if i can get a barrel with as many oversizes as possible left in it.
  3. Thanks to Woody's suggestion i contacted John Collins about 2nd hand barrel and head for my 191,he's pretty sure he can sort one out for me.Can someone tell me what the Standard bore is and what the oversizes are please.
  4. Sammy Miller trials website claims to have spokes for most twinshock and pre-65 bikes. I'll need some for my 191 so i'm hoping thats true!

Good point.....i'm with you,i know it's a generation thing but i can't help feeling that "real" race bikes should all be two stroke!

I agree that GP bikes should be prototypes but didn't the Aspar bike get within a second or so of the lap record at Jerez?
  7. Cheers, i will give him a try.
  8. Thanks for the advice everyone.Expect plenty more questions in the course of the rebuild. It will need a barrel and head so if anyone has one or knows someone who might please let me know ( have asked BultacoUK but they dont think they've got any ) ........Kettle on and a day in the shed then!
  9. Hi, i'm new to the forum and as of last sunday the proud owner of several boxes containing most of a 1977 Sherpa t350 ( 191 ).The first question is what colour should it be? The Tank is red and the frame is silver but the fork legs and airbox are blue. The bloke i got it from had bought a pair of sherpas with his mate from the same man and had one each.Mine has matching numbers but i know the engines were in the wrong frames when they got them so its quite likely the other bits were mixed up too. The frame number is JB-19100600.Any help would be appreciated.
  10. It's a 1977 model 191.It's actually several boxes of bits but most of it is in good shape,it's even got some new seals and mains with it.The barrel and head are missing but i did contact BultacoUK before i went to buy it to make sure they were easy enough to get.Started on it already and can't wait to ride it!
  11. Hi, only got into trials when my nephew bought a Gas Gas 250 last year.Always had bikes but had only ridden one trials bike,a Montesa i maintained for a friend. Last weekend i bought a Bultaco t350 Sherpa to rebuild and ride so expect plenty of questions on the Bultaco section!
