  1. Hi. First of all drain the gearbox oil or if you are a tight Yorkshireman like myself lay the bike on its right hand side to stop the oil draining out. Next remove the gear lever then the circular clutch cover. This will expose the clutch unit. Undo the six ( I think ) bolts with springs and washers, with these removed you can remove the pressure plate this will then expose the plates which you can remove by sticking your fingers in the grooves. If you do this with bike upright the only thing to watch out for is the ball bearing falling out from within the mainshaft.
  2. At £650 unless there is something seriously wrong with it I'd buy it. They are good ,reliable bikes and very capable. nothing much goes wrong and parts are easy enough to get hold of.
  3. Thanks zerorev3rev4 you were right on with Lampkins!! they are in stock at 25 quid each . I put a search in at lampkins online and nothing came up---- rang them and they gave me the part number to order online. I think I will manage with one for now. I will have to extend the mortgage for the other 3.

    What Year Please

    Looks like a 92 or 93 Zero
  7. Take the beaings out and take them to your local bearing supplier, I did mine recently and they were all available off the shelf. A lot cheaper than Beta ones
  8. The water pump seal needed changing so while I had the covers off I decided to do the clutch, The plates are marked Advige??? on my 95 Techno and didnt see to have any surplus glue on them. What I did notice is that the clutch basket had deep grooves worn in to the fingers by the plates. I filed them flat again and now the clutch is far more progressive and controlable instead of the light switch it used to be. The clutch still drags though and I am using ATF.

    Techno Brake Pedal

Hi. First post for me so be gentle please. I have a 95 Techno with a broken brake pedal that a mate is going to weld up for me. New Beta ones for the Techno are 50 quid, but I see Apico and other aftermarket ones for around 30 but they are for the Rev 3 and Evo. Any body know if you can retro-fit these to the techno? Thanks in advance
