I used to live there , you can ride Big bear , Joshua Tree , Yucca valley and Deep Creek in Cedar Glen (near Lake Arrowhead) is the best Trials terrain , but any where in Cali. your gonna have to deal with the Rangers and the sticker laws ! Have Fun and good luck !
I bought an NV 3500 and saw your posts about your mods, just done the insulation so far.
I have a boat anchor on the front of my fishing boat, why would I want another ?.
Lineaway is spot on with what the loop and section are like today, but the Tillamook trial will stick in their memory good or bad, a lot longer than some parking lot rev.
Trevor and I observed the last section both days, the twin shock guys did well, the young ladies impressed me the most, how the manage to ride three loops and not get any mud on them is a mystery to me, they also rode the last section smoother than the guys.
Rain on Friday night and during the day Saturday did make the sections tougher than expected but it's a rain forest, a bit of slop is nowt.
BTW have you ever ridden a fixed gear push bike down a hill?
I had that sussed at three years old Dabster, just pick your legs up and let her rip, took a little longer to get the stopping down though, my legs were going like a fiddlers elbow trying to match the speed of the peddles.
Seems harsh to lose a valuable chunk of time for something totally outwith your own control. If that is the case then maybes the club will look into it and factor in an allowance, given that a lot of the entry lost quite a bit of time. Some of the clubmen were outwith the 60mins allowance so will now be riding for no award, that's got to be a downer so early in the week.
SSDT is a time and observation trial, those who made it on time showed it could be done and should not be penalized for doing so.
Tue is renowned for being tough and tight on time, I knew it the times I rode and so do the top riders.
Hi Steve, I read a post or two of Dad of 2's he said he'd been involved in fish stocking rivers, funny thing I've been involved in De-stocking the rivers.
Bloody hell 1shy things have changed a lot since you last visited
Bikes have a single shock
Water cooled
Disc brakes
And weigh less than a Bulto back wheel
Dougie ain't the current World Champion
We have had no stop, stop, no stop but if you stop and Spanish you can get away with it?
World Championship has less than 15 riders so there is hope for you yet!
The jobs knackered but lots on here that have ideas how to fix it?
Lots more has happened but it'll take a long time to read?
If Doug isn't world champ some bugger must of slipped him a bad bottle. It says under my name 0 warning points, does that mean if you take a dab you get a warning point and the next one will be added to your score? I need to lie down.
Ishy gets vertigo if he loups of't couch ower fast
Speaking of couch, phone rang this morning and I got off't bugger to answer it, "hello" "this is peter from Microsoft windows technical department" "I don't have Microsoft as got Millgaurd windows but tha can cum clean the buggers if tha want's" I don't think he quite knew what to make of that but it gave me a giggle, nearly worth getting off couch for.
All the things about trials that appealed to me as a kid 50 yrs ago and probably many other kids, no longer appeal to the kid's of today.
Talking bout my generation, the sport just clicked, we had more available land, less hassle putting on events, and more people willing to put on event's, it was a lot of fun but it's gone.
Less young riders coming in and more old riders getting passed it isn't a result of the rules, the world has changed.
