  1. Not today, but since last week (when i bought it ) I have removed the tube from the back tyre, sealed the rim and fitted one of my old tyres for testing (the original had like new tread but the bead was knackered). Sorted the adjuster on the front master cylinder as it had lost it's thread and fitted a head spacer picked up from Gas Gas UK to make things easier whilst I learn the Gasser kick! Oh, after all this I have had a quick test run then competed in a Mansfield Maun trial this Sunday gone!
  2. Hi does anyone know the size of the big end bearings or bearing code? I usually get this info from the parts diagram on Haven but it's not showing a separate bearing and trials and tribs are just offering a full rod kit! Ta Darren
  3. Thought as much. Would it be terminal to leave it? Also does the engine have to be split to change the crank seals? As for it not revving out, is this more likely to be the jets and the bike starving of fuel?
  4. Guys, my bike has been of the road for a couple of weeks whilst I identified an electrical fault. This is now sorted and the bike running again, however I noticed there is some play on the crank when I was removing the fly wheel. Now it's running it smokes a lot when I open it up (apparently it smells like gear oil burning), it doesn't seem to want to fully rev and the revs seem to take a while to drop. I'm assuming the main bearings and crank seals have gone?? Thoughts?

Hi. Yeah it is a complete stator. Back plate, 6 coils and 2 pickups not been used since rewound and tested last week

Bought one from trials and tribs in the end due to impatience lol. Now have a freshly rewound stator going spare though if anyone's interested!

I Swapped it with a working bike in the end which proved CDI failure

Guys after a lot of reading on here, 'trial and error' and trips to West Country I have now got to the bottom of my sparking problems on my 2002 Rev 3 250. It has a nice new shiny re-wound stator but now needs a CDI. seems these things are like rocking horse... Anyone know if their is an alternative that can be used, a reliable source to buy one (Beta UK don't have them, trials and tribs sell them at £160!) or a breaker that 'may' have one in? Cheers Darren
