July 27, 201214 yr Guys after a lot of reading on here, 'trial and error' and trips to West Country I have now got to the bottom of my sparking problems on my 2002 Rev 3 250. It has a nice new shiny re-wound stator but now needs a CDI. seems these things are like rocking horse... Anyone know if their is an alternative that can be used, a reliable source to buy one (Beta UK don't have them, trials and tribs sell them at £160!) or a breaker that 'may' have one in? Cheers Darren
July 28, 201214 yr Try Vince at haven trialsport i have just got one from him and it was alot cheaper than beta uk
July 28, 201214 yr Author Bought one from trials and tribs in the end due to impatience lol. Now have a freshly rewound stator going spare though if anyone's interested!

August 7, 201214 yr Thanks for the info there are two types of stators a six coil type for the models up to 2002 and the four coil type 2003 on The Cdi units differ and I assume the fly wheel magnets differ as generates and times the spark?
