- Back Wheel Hops, Clutch, Brake Or Both?
It would be good to be able to do it with out really having to think about it! That's not going to happen though- Back Wheel Hops, Clutch, Brake Or Both?
I have been trying to do this for a while now................ its hard.................. i can only do the bit where you hop the wheel off the ground at the start from a stand still. I think they use the back brake when they land then release it with the ping of the clutch? probably... Thanks for using my YouTube video!- Clutch Basket Free Play/movement?
Right OK, its only a little bit of movement so that's good.- Clutch Basket Free Play/movement?
Is the clutch basket meant to be solid when its fully tightened down with the clutch plates in it, or is it meant to have a small amount of movement. I am not taking about movement between the basket and the gear riveted onto it which i know is not meant to be there. I don't have that problem. Thanks- Re-Bleeding Empty Calipers.
I think ill try taking the reservoir off and pumping fluid down with a syringe, must just be air trapped in the system.- Re-Bleeding Empty Calipers.
Is there a certain way to bleed them back to being firm, i was just pumping the rear brake lever and doing to open and close thing to the nipple. But that didn't seem to firm up the lever at all. Is there a special way of doing it?- Clutch Issue
Do you have your Free-play adjuster on the clutch lever screwed far out, so that there is not much leverage to slip the clutch? http://www.trialendurodirect.com/images/products/listing/LEB11GP.jpg- Sherco Linkage Bearings.
Does it matter what way you put the bearings in the dogbone, is it the same rubber seal both sides? Sherco 2009- How Do You Change Front Brake Pads? Sherco
Can someone run through how to do it Thanks- Hopping On The Rear Wheel.
Right so messaged the guy asking if he was using the brake and this is what he said. "Actually on this bank no. the bank was steep enough i was using all clutch." Soooo, yeh.....- Hopping On The Rear Wheel.
Sounds like he's just clutching it.- Hopping On The Rear Wheel.
I know that the rear brake is normally used, but would it be in this situation? please reply, thanks- Hopping On The Rear Wheel.
OK, ill have a look.- Hopping On The Rear Wheel.
Is the back brake used here to keep the bike steady for that split second, or is he just slipping the clutch? Thanks- Rear Shock Hydraulic Regulation Screw Setting?
Am getting confused, Splatshop said it was screw right in then 2 out for the rear shock! "all out and two clicks in" does feel good to me when am just playing around in the garage, think i will try it next time out- Rear Shock Hydraulic Regulation Screw Setting?
Front Forks : Recommended setting "unscrew entirely and screw two clicks" Rear Shock : Recommended setting "screw all and unscrew two clicks" These settings are from the actual Sherco manual (2009), just seems weird to me that they are the opposite of each other, could it be a Spanish translation error. Or is this what is actually used? I tried "unscrew entirely and screw two clicks" on the Rear shock and it felt good? Hmmmmmm My weight : 10.5 stone Thanks!- Sherco 2009 - Rear End Questions !
Just a few stupid questions 1) Should the bolts of the Delta Link be very tight, or will it effect the movement of the linkage? Mine are not that tight. 2) Do you adjust the sag using the two large ring adjusters of the rear shock, or the damper screw? I was just reading there on the Sherco 2009 Manuel Hydraulic regulation. (Rear Shock) Recommended: screw all and unscrew two clicks I have miss read this and have mine at unscrewed right out and screwed in 2, as that is the same as the front forks. Is that really what they recommend, would that not make the rear end dead? Sorry for the brain fart!- Sherco 2009 - Rear Shock Free Play At Top Bolt.
I think all i need to get is this, the one bearing at the top as that's the only bit with movement? http://www.splatshop.co.uk/rose-joint-bearing-ge15.html Link to exploded view : http://www.splatshop.co.uk/Parts-Finder/Sherco/2009/290/Rear-Shock-Swingarm/- Hopping On The Rear Wheel - Suspension Set Up?
Bike : Sherco 290 2009 Is there a certain way to set up your suspension , so as that hopping on the rear wheel is easier. When i watch videos of people hopping on the rear wheel their rear shock seems to bottom out when they land. As if they have a high damper setting. I had by bike on the stock settings which is 2 clicks out on the rear damper and 2 clicks out on the front forks damper then a flush red cap on the rebound. This setting seemed a bit springy for hopping plus the rear shock would not compress that much. Is there a happy median setting for the suspension, so as the bike is good for all round use? but will still let you hop? Thanks!- Sherco 2009 - Rear Shock Free Play At Top Bolt.
( Bike fully assembled) When lifting up the bike by the exhaust, it goes up then stops as that's the end of the spring travel. However you can then pull it up a bit more and then there's this space of free play when the shock is fully extended. I then found that this little free play was because the top bolt has space to move when through the top of the shock. So it clicks when you lift the bike up and down only when you lift it past the point where the spring is complete extended. Its not the shock its self or the linkage i tested for that. Is it normal to have this free play? Thanks!- Trials Bike : How To Hop On The Rear Wheel!
Made this to try and help me understand how this technique is preformed- Sherco Trials : Wheelie Practice!
