  1. The carbs have small vents to allow air into the bowl as petrol goes out. Most bikes just seem to have a small length of hose on them. On enduro bike we put filters there to stop dust from being sucked in.
  2. Thanks thanks thanks.............................thanks!
  3. Hi, My crankshaft seals are leaking and I want to split the cases of my 2006 300 TXT. I gather that there is/was a Jim Snell video showing how to do this. Does anyone have a link to the video?
  4. I tipped the bike over for the picture, that's why you don't see the oil. Wouldn't bad mains make the bike sound rough? It seems to run fairly smoothly, just take a long time to rev up.
  5. I can't see much!
  6. No added flywheel weight. The flywheel seems pretty beefy though.
  7. Exhaust is clean. Repacked too. I didn't cut open the mid box and check it though.
  8. I have a 03 Beta Rev3 and if I blip the throttle in neutral the engine revs take forever to climb. The bike has got the white throttle tube, so it's not that. Plenty of compression - I even struggle to kickstart it with all my 75 kg sometimes (could this be a sign of something wrong?) Starts easily though with choke on and idles well once warmed up and the choke off. New spark plug set to 0.6 mm. New fuel mix. Cleaned out the carb. I took it to the local Gasgas agent (just because he is close by) who said "that's just the way they are". I compared my Rev3 to a 06 Gasgas Txt 280 and the Gasgas is soooooo quick to rev! Is this Just the way the older Betas are?
  9. Just load up the pedal with a strap and a weight hanging off it. Leave overnight. Tomorrow asif by magic, the system will be bled.
