  1. Part # 44603-NN4-J10 Cannot find sizes of the spoke.
  2. Dear riders, I've recently broken 6 or 7 spokes on the front wheel on my Montesa 4rt 260 (not Repsol). The pic is attached. Some peaces of spokes still are in the nuts. Could somebody recommend me which spokes of other enduro or MX bikes are suitable to replace? Actually, here in Russia we have a lot of spare parts for enduro and mx bikes, but not for trials. If I order the spokes from overseas it would take more then month to wait. Also we have a GasGas dealer in Moscow, may be their spokes and nuts can be mounted instead of original ones? Thanks Andrey
  3. Ian, i've been riding on the bike about 3-4 hours after have installed racing options, and the bike worked fine. It seems there is another problem like injector, pump, regulator or the same. 'Guys', I am already used to kick it during last 2 months, it sometimes started after the first or second kick, without the throttle. Just now the engineer phoned me and said that the problem was with the plug. He heated it and the bike works now. The reason could be when I started the bike in the first time with the fuel and 2 percent oil mix which i had after using 2T Sherco. So, Montesa reaffirmed its quality! Thank you!
  4. Hi guys! I'am looking for any advices about almost new 4rt 260 montesa regarding what should I check to determine the reason when the engine cannon start after kicks or downhill on the 4th gear. 2 days ago i've removed all the restrictions following the manual except the chain and wheel's sprocket. Today I've been riding for almost 3 hours nonstop in our local forest. Suddenly the engine stops while riding on the 4th gear. I tried to kick - no results. Tried to kick with full throttle, then without - no result. Tried to roll down a hill and off the clutch on 4th - the engine doesn't want to start. I checked fuel and disconnected stop button too. Fuel level was about 1 lt. Compression seems as always good. There are no any visual troubles, liquid leaks, broken wires. Tomorrow will be an appointment in a common motorcycle service, they don't know precisely this bike. Hence, it is better to ask the community about any weak spots of the bike. What should we check at first? What can be broken? Obviously, we will check the spark and plug. Could you recommend me what can I check further? Thanks! Andrey
  5. Hi guys! I've recently removed all the mechanic restrictors as it described in "Kit Full Power Cota 4RT 260 (YM14-Eng).pdf" I would notice the bike breath with full lungs now! The sound became deep, harder. It seems the engine revs are about 8-9000. There is much more power then before. A one relay is on the road lamp assembly, this relay needs to be connected directly to the electrical chain, coz the fan is related of it. There is no info about this relay in the document. I've demounted o a alot of wires regarding back lamp assembly, speed sensor, break lever sensors. Thank you for help! Now I am very happy with my new Montesa!
  6. Thanks, Bernhard, i've downloaded these files!
  7. Thank you, guys, for appreciate help, i gonna do all your recommendations!
  8. Hi guys! I've recently assembled my new Montesa 4rt 260 2014 at home in Russia. In base it has road exhaust pipe, i guess, with the catalyst inside and narrow end of the pipe. Now i have not replaced it with a wide pipe (it is in the package) yet, and it seems that the engine revs up a bit slow and achieves seems about 3500-4000 rpm with open throttle on N gear. I guess this engine should up to 10 000 rpm. That's why the bike rides a bit gently. What should i do if i need make the engine spins better? May be it is related with electrical issues? And I've mounted a sport front light instead of road one. Where can i get a 12V connector? Sorry for my english in advance:)) Will appreciate your advices Andrey
  9. First of all, thank you for evaluating my English. I faced with several difficulties studying it in my 30th. Your mark gives me the 'spark' to get better. Regarding my needs (to get a wee bit disassembled bike, or it is better to say 10 bolts unscrewed), I asked the seller just to divide the front part, it means to demount it but remain in an original box. It doesn't need to unpack the bike or get it out of the package. For example, look at the picture attached, when the seller of my former Sherco did it for 50 pounds without any objections. I am sincerely sure it takes 10-15 minutes. I can agree that the dealers don't include these jobs in price. I would recommend to do it. Any job should be paid. That could expand dealer's range of service, that means to be more competitive and gather more clients. In case of having any arguments receiving the same kind of bike, the seller is rather protected. He can easily prove that the customer asked him to do it (show the letters and dialogs). Thank you again!
  10. Your idea is brilliant. Today we have just one GasGas dealer in Moscos who works sometimes improperly, who doesn't care about having spare parts in stock, who sells the 'gray' bikes but rather expensive at the same time. My own help to our local riders is just reveal where they can get the bikes, which way is the shortest and affordable, which dealer we can trust. Unfortunately, I live abroad the most part of each year, and fully busy managing my businesses in the IT sphere. Thanks anyway.
  11. I love the smell of a 2T engine from the times I was 10 and drove and maintained carts. But today smog causes eye sore, because our city's environment consists of pollution only. Now an e-bike gives absolutely different feelings, no doubt, and that is a challenge to save how a gas trials bike propels us. I would be happy to take part in any development process of e-bikes, that is my honest dream, especially when my IT job becomes boring.
  12. This topic is really cool and valuable. In my opinion, there is just one clear future for trials bikes - fully electric drive. We often ride where are a lot of people around, in crowdy places, among skaters, in parks and etc. So, we obviously crave to be rather silent and exclude pollution. Moreover, electric mechanisms have a lot of simple things to be applied. For example - energy recuperation while braking. It hardly can exclude brake systems, but could help to stop effectively. I am not so familiar to these e-motors, but know we can create an opposite force just changing polarity. Recently I have discovered e-bikes. The solutions employed there are quite cheap, not complex enough. I see the future in this idea. What else. When the bike is moving passively stopping, the energy goes to heat. Do we need excessive heat? Yep, in winter. But we can collect the energy and reverse it into light or electo back. We can gather energy even from the front wheel. We can transfer motor's heat to the batteries which love it in cold conditions. Yes, e-motors are still not so powerful and the range of riding is relatively short. Some ideas for e-bikes. 1) include small motors into the wheels' hub in addition to the main motor (regeneration, braking, front wheel drive) 2) full in the frame' tubes with batteries 3) use two main motors (may be more power and reliability) 4) use the clutch mechanism as we used to use 5) add flywheel (to simulate gas engines) 6) use motors which have more energy efficiency 7) use 2-3 gearbox OR even CTV Electric things are less complicated, more modern. Today we know about Tesla Motors. Here in Russia you can drive a Tesla car at least 300 km and then fully recharge the battery for $2.5. So, e-tech bikes will be more beneficial. Regarding braking thru the motor's shaft and the chain, it hardly can afford to ignore the rear brake system, because it will perform not so rapidly. All the ideas you have suggested above are linked to complexity and weight. I guess that your ideas hardly will be realised, because the market is the biggest obstacle. All manufacturers will force their old technologies while we buy their bikes.
  13. Dear Guy, I just told that Mr Christian had to behave another way. 1) Say more precisely and earlier that he can sell just whole not opened box 2) Say more politely without negative emotions 3) If he didn't do it, he should sell the bike as I wish, because I - his client - spend many hours in order to do this deal. You are right regarding a Montesa dealer here. Russia is quite different country, there people or very rich or very poor, and our moto-sphere actually somewhere amid our needs. Who can afford to by a bike - they do it the same way as me. Fortunately, I foresee that this future is not so far when the demand of new bikes is growing (not sure about grammar). You can trust my opinion, coz I've organized and manage the most prominent and huge enduro club in Russia (1200 unique visitors per day). Regarding 15 honda dealers whom I have written. This types of dealers (I know, because we have the same) perform another job on the market. No one of them don't sell trials bikes; just MX, enduro, road bikes and scooters. Representatives who receive emails have a lot of standard duties, and my inquiry is out of their duties. Their dealership is enclosed by local regions. So, they are not even interested to reply when I wrote in English. Another slight difference between Russian style and European is that we are used to reply on each request, we don't ignore an email. You are right. Thank you for your wish, I hope it will be during the next week. I found the best and easiest way to bring the bikes to our country. When I find the dealer who can do it - our moto community can order the bikes and develop this brilliant sport here in the biggest country of the world.
  14. Dear thats_a_five, First af all, thank you for some advices and corrections. I have been studying English for a bit less then 2 years, that's why my vocabulary is rather cheap there. 1) "problems" ... and the same words. That is the seller's problem, because he answered 'no' one conversation earlier. This word 'cut my ears' as yours. 2) my carrier can move the bike over the border just apart. The duty for whole bike is about 40-50 percents (including russian VAT). No one doesn't want to buy a bike which costs 8000 euro instead of 5300 because the seller refused to unscrew 8-10 bolts. The seller cannot face with a legal problem because I suggested him to send the bike in one of 2 destinations: UK or Finland. 3) No, I asked to make a choice between UK and Finland 4) this line used to show that I realise his thoughts in advance, just as part of polite 5) that means I haven't grasped that this deal could be so complicated (because of his blurred negative answers). The seller was informed that I need the bike where some bolts are unscrewed IN THE FIRST letter. He could say 'no' but he did some steps to sell the whole bike. Yep, he can IMAGINE some problems and be afraid of them. But it means he is not professional enough. I didn't asked him to deliver to russia directly. So, for him it is an ordinary deal. He can spent 10 minutes to unscrew some bolts and 10 minutes to phone the carrier and ship out the bike. No more risks. Anyway, even I wrote the letter a bit wide and included some frank information and politeness, no one seller shouldn't afford to kick a client out on the same manner. It doesn't matter what I'm saying or writing. I am the 'client'. People like me give profit. He should give an apology to each potential client if he is not able to serve it. His word "Lissen..." - that is nightmare! "I made so many quotation" - he made just ONE (but he made a discount) "My condition is clear and I will not move anymore" - it seems I beg him to make a present to me)) I am a businessman too, I have 150 permanent clients and have been governed 2 business for 9 years, there are 150 employees in my company. And eventually I receive this caddish reply on my letter trying to buy a bike (a toy). I just want to give a warning that this person can waste somebody's time. I cannot say what is further if you prepay him.
  15. There could be other issues to discuss but the owner just suddenly cancelled our deal explaining that he spent so much time to make enquires to me. I was ready to get the bike as is in original box in Finland, and i wrote to him about it as one of three options. there is my previous letter to him Really there are no any risks for him, just for me when I prepay the bike and delivery. Believe me, some my friends have always ordered bikes from Europe. Last year I know there were about 15 deals within my friend's circle just in my city. There were no any problems or argues. Hence, I hardly can summorize that there could be problems with the buyers.
