  1. Telecat!!! Ive seen the tutorial, but i needed to give it way less fuel level to make it work propperly.... Maybe a shorter needle or less stiff needle spring...variables are endless.... I tried as describes in the tutorial, but had the same problem....i took it apart 4 times giving more fuel level each time till i got to the desired performance....

  2. Mok... i solved the problem.... I increased the level even more.... and now runs perfect with no bogging or stalling even at extreme angles... I didnt take pictures of the carb when ready, but its like picture 2, when carb is upside down....

I rode the bike in the sidewalk again...and my riding improved a lot... lots of confidence just using it like 10 minutes..

My riding is lame, messy and uncontrolled but NOW THAT IT WORKS PROPPERLY.... I liked it...

  3. Well, i tried to fix the carb level problem.... I took the carb apart and bent the float to achieve the desired angle when fully closed... I did it two times, giving more angle and noticing an improvement each time.... Its actually assembled like this. Improved a bit.. But if i leave the bikes rear wheel on a 40cm ledge and the front in the ground it bogs and stalls....

    3dtf.jpg

    Open needle.

    6esx.jpg

Contact point between needle and seat. Shuts fuel (maybe not supertight, but tried blowing air thru the fuel line and shuts pretty much tight)

-Notice that level is even lower than reccommended by the Lampkin tutorial... Float is more than parallell with carburetor body, so level is even lower and it keeps doing pretty much the same (improved a little but still not rideable in a downward slope....need to be revd up high to keep running)

    pb0o.jpg

Needle fully closed with spring compressed by the float weight... float parallel to carbs body in this case.

Its 2PM here... Ill take the carb out AGAIN.... and will try with even less fuel level on the float, I already hated 2 strokes, Now im starting to hate trials, and motorcycles in general jajajaja Its my first brand new bike ever... Im glad i always bought used or wrecked bikes... never had problem with those... :(

  5. Took the bike bike apart... resetted the level but still doing pretty much the same, im waiting the bike to cool down and ill try to lower the level even more.... Im asking...

IHow much can you guys point your bike "nose down" before engine stalls due to fuel overflow??? If i lift my rear wheel (by hand) like 2 feet it bogs and stalls..... :S

The rest seems to be fine, on the flat the bike runs pretty well.....

  6. Hi guys, rode my bike for the first time today and i noticed something wrong....

A)My bike doesnt fell torky, firm, and safe... Throttle response is slw when in low rpm range and has some kind of slack (not cable slack....id rather call it lag or latency...throttle opens but takes longer than usual to the engine to respond)

B)Stalls when pointing downhill or when riding a stoppie

    C)Huge fuel consumption

D)Fuel leaking (thought it was a miinor leak when in odd angles... but its not minor at all)

I really think i have a fuel level problem in the carb... Seems like the float isnt working propperly and floods my intake when the bike leans forward.... Some of the gas is spilled out, and some other goes to theengine intake...thats why its running rich at low rpm and feels boggy and lazy....

Correct me if im wrong, any suggestions is appreciated.... Anyone else had this kind of problems in their EVO??? (I read here that some other Betas had the same setup problem when new)

  7. Now that ive been reading the forum... Everything seems to point in one direction....

  8. jajajajaa I rode it today, one tank...(and a friend towed me home :D) just on the flat up and down my sidewalk curbs and in some bumps to get the feeling of it...Its fun because its all new, but im not enjoying it very much, I think theres something wrong with the bike engine... it bogs when im on a downhill slope, or if i stoppie.... it stalls (and im doing it with cltuch completely pulled in and no looonnngg stopies, the problem is the bike pointing a bit down...and depending on how i use the throttle sometimes its not responsive i mean, sometimes i throttle and it does nothing... but sometime it does... I thinkg thats something wrong because theres no way to ride safely with a bike that revs different every time. or doesnt run pointing a bit down. Hope its lean or fuel level on the carb is too high or mixture is too oily or something, because if thats the way this 2 stroke bikes work, im selling it. I mean it...

havnt hit any obstacle yet... just fooled around to get the feel of the bike. Im not confident with the engine beign so erratic. Maybe cause its new? but it really suck, i dont feel in control i suggest it ti throttle but it may work just fine or maybe do like...boobobobooo and lose power... Suggestions?

Conclussion, not happy with the bike... Happy because its here, happy because its light but i bet its not working propperly. runs, revs, sounds great... but i feel im not in control...

  9. Finally hereeeeeeeee!!!! Picked up my EVO at the Beta factory (Tigre, Buenos Aires)... 8 hours behind the wheel, a huge pain in the A$$ from the traffic but totally worth it....

    kk2n.jpg

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Well, since ive never EVER ridden or touched a trials motorcycle, this encounter with HER was a bit traumatic... After talking a small trip around the Beta facilities courtesy of one ofthe Beta Argentina owners we headed to pick up the EVO... I was very impressed about how slick and thin it looks and when i grabbed it, lightness and stiffness where first in the list.... started on the first kick, jumped on it and headed outside.... I went down a road like 50 meters and came back... It was the weirdest bike ive ever ridden, and if i had ridden it before...I REALLY DOUBT I HAD BOUGHT IT!!! really strange, really uncomfortable, unsteady, unpredictable.... I just strapped it to my trailer and headed back home.....

I arrived here almost at night, but anxious to set some things up.... i pushed bars forward, levers down, calibrated the reach on clutch and front brake.... took a second ride in my sidewalk and things started to get better... The bikes no braking propperly (pads and rotors need to settle) but i could manage some flat controlled drops from a small ledge and simly roll over some curbs and tree roots... I noticed theres a lot of potential on the bike to be exploited, but also that it will not happen autoMAGICally...

That first ride was like...my first 10 minutes on a trials bike on my life...

Tomorrow ill fill the tank and will see what i can do naturally and see where should i start to work to level up my skills... I have no training videos available over here, or available 4 download on the web.... And waiting like 2 months for a dvd is not cool at all.....

Ill keep you guys posted :D

  10. Been off the forum for a while... No news to update till now.... Paperwork arived home last week... and everything was back to me with the bike on my name by friday....

    i1j3.jpg

Bad/good news is that i traded my Toyota Hilux for some construction goodies... (Im building up a 250sqmeter showroom for import/exotic/antique cars that i trade fr a living) so i had to ask a friend to take me to the factory to pick up the bike...Were heading there tomorrowm morning....So...i may have my first encounter with the skinny bike around 2pm... :D

  11. Well... I think this time its the real deal, paperwork arrived home like 10 days late... Ive been busy so I couldnt manage to declare the bike until yesterday... in 7 hours (11AM, friday) ill hace all the papers to go to Beta...and pick up my bike.... Ill probably pick it up on monday.... if everything goes fine...

I sold my Toyota... so i havnt got anything to pick it up now... :S Been riding my bike and xr200 very little... Im really de-motivated... :S

  12. News... The bike is already assembled and waiting for me to pick it up in Buenos Aires... :D But... Not until its documented on my name... Soy the guys at Beta sent me those precious papers that should me here tomorrow morning... With those, ill run to the vehicle registration office to get the job done... And then FINALLY...pick the bike up and start the frustrating learning curve :D

Meanwhile... Im taking my anxiety out with my bicycle...

  13. 2 from the south...Continue at your own risk... (i mean it)

    -----------------------------------------------------------

A teenage boy wants to buy a trials bike so he manages to get a part-time job in the local hotel... In one of his first tasks he helps a mature women with her bags after checking in... They both go up in the elevator, elevator stops and as he rapidly grabs the bags he accidentally hits the ladies chest with his elbow.... He panics and tries to pilot the situation by saying... "Madamme, if your heart is as tender as your breasts, im sure youll forgive my incompetence..." The lady responds... "Whatever, if your cock is as hard as your elbow ill be waiting you in room 409 ;)"

    -----------------------------------------------------------

Brother and sister, both teenagers are left with their grandfather a couple days, while their parents are on a cruise ship... Instructions left to the old man are strict and clear about not letting the kids out of the house... Weekend arrives and the girl insists on him, to let her go to the local pub, disco, rave party etc... after hours of negatives from the old man he goes mad and yells... "You wanna go to that f***ing disco???. Ill let you go, but first... Youll have to s*ck my d*ck!!! The girl cant beliebe what shes hearing so tell her grandfather he is a pervert...blah blah blah and leaves the room... Half an hour later returns to the room and asks him for permission to go to the disco again... and the old man replies "Ill let you go... But youll have to s*ck my d*ck first".....

The girl really really wants to go out that night so she accepts the kinky deal... she kneels in front of the old man, lowers his pants and when shes about to put "IT" in her mouth she notice theres SH!T all over it!!! and screams....

Granpa...i wont suck it!!! Theres Sh!t all over it!!! ....

The old man replies... "Its not my fault, your brother really wanted to be at that soccer finals!!!"

  14. The promised pics of my healing process... Im on day 11 now... Got skin back in 100% of the burns... and its getting its normal thickness and coloration gradually... (Badboy face included :D) Burnt areas in dotted line... The worse were in my fingers/knucles area... bare flesh was showing over there... Its still sensible but i guess i can ride a bike with care... Not sure about beign comfortable using globes already... But, on my way...

About the spot... I drove there today to haul a couple new spools i could get... And found this surprise, kids from the neighbourhood arranged my pallets, spools and everything forming some kind of fortification... Hope they dont do the same with my sections, otherwise ill have to invest on 40 meters of barbed wires rolls or some kind of electric discouragement jajajajaja
