    Lean When Climbing

    Check tank breather.
  2. Sounds like a leaking jet block gasket, had the same problem with a OKO carb.
  3. Yes had the same problem on a 2010 ST 250, never did get it properly fixed , bought a new 2013 cabestany expecting a good bike, wrong, same manifold leak, which on those was caused by the nipple where the fuel pump drive connects to. I was going to fit a 2014 manifold as they are sealed over the nipple but sounds like they are no better. A good fuel proof sealant may be only answer.
  4. Agree with doing a pressure test but pressurise from the carb end to include the intake manifold as these are known to leak where the fuel pump opperating hose comes off from, also leaks around the mounting face where they bolt up to the reed cage. No point in chasing any thing else until you know for sure that intake, crankcase and exhaust are air tight.
  5. snap1, perform the pressure test that Chris (splat shop ) has suggested to make sure whole system is air tight. Air leak likely to be at rubber inlet manifold, been there and done that on two bikes now, first one a 2010 250. second one a 2013 cabbestany.
  6. Canadale, if checking end play it may pay to take clutch slave cylinder off other end of shaft to get a true indication, as you say may have been incorrectly shimed from new as there is more than one bike with this problem.
  7. Sounds like a case of primary input shaft end float, caused by spiral cut primary drive and driven gears when under load , (eg hill climb ) suspect imput shaft bearing in right hand case is moving under load, by the time you want the clutch it is having to move back before clutch will work.
  8. Would agree with comment from lineaway, I lubed every nut and bolt on my 2013 cabestany. While doing rear suspension, found I couldn't get left hand dog bone bolt to frame mount out, as weld from centre frame up right stuck out too far, 2mm off with grinder fixed that, don't know how they ever got it in there in the first place. Other thing was swing arm axle, holes through frame and engine don't line up, had to lift axle approx 1mm to get through frame hole before nut went on.
  9. Thanks for the info guys, looks like a few hours in the work shop before riding then. Bruce.
  10. Hi there ,new to the forum and waiting for my cabestany to arrive, woundering if any members have experience with the 2013 model and could share good or bad points. Cheers, Bruce.
