    What year bike is it? Im having trouble with mine pinking more than i like.....eg even riding down the road. Which iv tried moving the position of the needle, which i believe is down to running to lean. Next step change the jets apparently. Its a keihin btw.

    Can anyone with a racing tell me if after the keihin carb do they have the rubber adapter that the airbox slots onto? If i remember rightly a while back someone made alloy adapters for the dellorto is there any for the keihin?

    Yeah looked on pro bolt after posting this the catalogue came pretty much the day after just have to check the sizes. Yeah the screws on the carb are a pain with chewing the heads off are they m4's?

    Yeah it was doing it before i changed it, so a bigger on the jets then ?

    Ive recently changed the head insert and didnt think the piston was that bad, maybe should give it a clean so its spotless ?

    Has anyone bought and pro bolts or anodised bolts for their gassers? Lost a bolt for the airbox on my 250 2012 pro so thought id spice it up abit. Has anyone changed bolts and got sizes for me so i can price some up?

    Hi dadof, Not sure with the plug will have to up date when i go out and check the bike. Fuel is super unleaded from a total garage. Brand new fuel mixed the day of riding which has been the weekend. How do you check your float height and squish clearance? Filter is cleaned and oiled after each ride or checked to see if it needs doing at least.

    Right so iv tried adjusting the needle went down with the clip and went up with the clip. Hasnt really made any difference at all :/

    Im new to these carbs and until iv had it in bits tomorrow i dont really know what im looking at, does anyone know of a diagram to explain this a it better. I thought it may of been down to the jets and just mixture and air screw?

    Sounds perfect place to get into the trials scene, done it for about 8 years just returning now and love it. Best days of summer youl have and winter if you dont mind the weather!! Enjoy, this forum is usually packed with helpful tips and advice.

    Hi well its only been a year and a half so my last bike was an 09 gas gas so not much difference to my 12 other than a few small setting up problems

    Right just bought a 250 racing 2012 model and its pinking quite abit under load etc and when riding about. Take it this is from running too lean? Havnt had the carb off yet which i will be doing friday afternoon. Just wondered if anyone else has had problems and what to check first. Thanks.

    Well this has to be the best trials site out there and has everything you need on it so why not return, used to come on here few years ago as Lewis-gasgas think it was. Just bought another bike Gas gas 2012 250 racing. Just a few teething issues i want to get spot on. Anyway Hi guys cheers for any future advice and top work with the site as always Andy. Lewis.
