As said you'l find the 280 is alot more snappy than a 300 which id say is more a clubman bike if set up right. Like already posted easy to tame though if thats all thats available. Fly wheel weight. Slow throttle. Head inserts on the newer models. Etc.

What year bike are you on sectionone? Mines started squealing quite abit now so need to do something about it dont fancy paying out big bucks for a proper one.

Yeah them dreaded rings never stay in (swapped my head insert earlier in the year )

Iv used abit of rad weld not sure if its fully cured the problem but never been a total fan of it really. Didn't really want to have to strip it down that much either

Ah bugger, can you get metal sealer that you just pour into it?

So my radiator is leaking and iv heard they arnt cheap to replace. Need to get it out to investigate but it seems a rather snug fit. Any ideas how to get it out without removing too much? Bikes a 2012 250 Thanks.

Right update fan runs with a power supply so i take it that means its most probably the thermo switch?

Theres definitely coolant still there prob could do with a top up but will try the thermo switch tonight. Can you get the switch out if this is the problem? Or is it a full rad job as it looks like its enclosed into the rad at the top. Cheers guys.

Yes i know theres a fan thread right below but doesnt exactly help me. Fans decided to not work at all while riding tonight just wondered whats the quickest way of resolving the problem as the bike over heated and spat abit of coolant out! I take it the little black box on the fan unit is some sort of switch for the thermostat which is the enclosed unit in the top of the rad? The bike is a 250 2012 pro, pretty much asking whats the first thing to check.

Yeah iv solved that problem, still on with getting it running spot on. Left with getting a 3 slide for the carb or changing it back to the dellorto

No my mate decided to bring the carb and not the top for it when they are different :/ His is a 300 so i presume the dellorto jets for a 300 would be different wouldnt they?

Update the bike seems to not pink as bad with a 50 pilot and needle raised to the max although it is slightly there still. But obviously running it like that it is rather rich from the amount of fuel its getting.

The insert is a standard one thats all iv done put it back standard from a low s3 insert (gold) and there wasnt really enough carbon build up to say it would bother it really.

Whats currently in the pwk keihin is 122 main 50 pilot as iv gone from 45 which is two sizes up. JJH needle not sure on the slide does it say on it?

How you getting on will? Iv ticked off alot of things to try including jets cant seem to change anything though.

Right slight update. Iv found out that the bike is not actually a racing model thanks to gas gas and just a standard 250. So someone has obviously put the keihin carb on, would this make the bike pink if the reed block isnt changed as well? As i have gone two sizes up on the pilot jet which is 50 and dont seem to be having any luck with the pinking changing same with adjusting needle height. My friends going to lend me his dellorto so will see if it runs right with this on. If not anyone have any other ideas? Pottering around on the bike on first half of the throttle is fine but then when you ask for the power to do something along comes the pinking asif its getting starved.

Looking for some new gloves just wondering which are the softest as after a days riding on my thumb nuckle tends to rub on the hebo gloves iv got but its made out of the rough material. Just wondering if anyone knows what the jitsie, mots or even normal gas gas gloves are like, obviously wont be as hard wearing if soft/thinner but id rather be comfortable. Cheers
