Thanks Larry and Craig I'll have another crack at it this weekend, its definitely got no problems with the seals I did them my self, I just can't work out why it runs ok with the old carb but goes nuts with the new un Andy

Just finished rebuilding my 24tes New seals, bearings,rebore piston and was advised to go for a new amal now I have two new problems, first she's an absolute pig to start tried flooding it with the tickler no choke then with choke then after loads of kicks she'll fire then on to fault 2 it will tick over for about 10 seconds then it will rev to the max and can't be stopped on the kill switch only using the gearbox and brakes, it's got new gaskets on the inlet and a new oring on the carb, so now I've dropped on the original amal monobloc and with one tickle fired up with two kicks it runs ok but it's really wooly of the bottom, does anyone have any ideas is it me or is this new carb a piece of ****

I'm part way through rebuilding the engine on my 24 tes greeves and was wondering if anyone knows the torque settings for the four alloy tube bolts that bolt the barrel and head to the cases

Not to good, had engine trouble right from the start had no power what so ever so dont know whats gone on, had a go for a lap but had to retire as it would hardly get through the sections, will get it stripped and find out whats goin on with it, but I will be back for another go soon

Just a quick hi to all, after years of enduro I fancied a change of pace so I took the plunge and got my self a trials bike, its been about 20 yr since I last rode a trial so I just hope it all comes flooding back as ill be going in at the deep end tomorrow and having a go at my first trial at bracken rock Andy

That part is a cdi/coil mount, just fitted one of these kits to my old mans Greeves and tried to use that part thinking it was made for the bike, but now seeing your pics its just universal mount as its the same one as I have (which is now in the bottom of my tool box) I ended up making my own mount Andy
