  1. Hi, If the bike has a lack of compression this should show by the exhaust dribbling oil & hard to start. Check crank seals. If all is ok in this region check ignition timing (1.8mm BTDC ). Check points gap( 0.3 - 0.4 mm ). Check spark plug (NGK B6HS Gap 0.5 - 0.6mm ). Next check Carb. (Clean fuel no blocked jets , Air screw 1 1/2 turns out , 86 Main jet , 049 needle clip position 2 ,Pilot jet 34, Float level 23mm + or - 1mm. Also check the clutch isn't slipping. Good Luck !
  2. Hi, All engines are slightly different & may require fine adjustments , but as a guide a B40 with an Amal Mk1 should run fine with a 624mm choke , 170 main jet , 3 1/2 slide & the needle in the middle notch ,.105 needle jet.Good Luck!P.S. The 622 was used on the C15 .
  3. Many Thanks for the replies. I think the fork mods are out of my pocket range at the moment , my mate & me are very new to this game ( As in never ridden a trial yet ) but i 've done a lot of MX , Trail , Enduro. I 've been reading Sammy Millers 'Clean To The Finish ' & Don Morley's Classic British Trials Bikes for inspiration & it's a whole different ball game. I do hope i've got the same enthusiasm once i've ridden a trial.Once again many thanks for the Advice regards Mark.
  4. Many thanks OTF for your advice , but the wheel came already in the bike & is set wrong in the frame ( wheels not in line ). How much are the billet hubs & who supplies them ? Also do you know if B25 forks are any better than WD B40 forks ? ( we have B25 in the bike ). Regards Mark.
  5. Hello , Can anybody suggest the correct length spokes to use to offset the rear tiger cub wheel when used in a C15. I've already been told that a bantam hub would have been better but i would like to keep the Cub Hubs. Many thanks Mark.
  6. Is anybody out there interested in 4 stroke kawasaki trials bikes e.g. Gollner bike & has anybody got pictures or advice on how to build one. Thanks
  7. Please can any members help i need some pics of Trials specials using either Kawasaki Z200 or KL250 engines , any help I would be most appreciative. Thanks Kawasarki.
  8. Hello, I am trying to build a Kawasaki 250 4stroke trials bike using a Z250C single cyl. engine / frame. I was wondering if anybody has anymore pictures of the Gollner bike or similar home constructed bikes using single cylinder Kawasaki 250 4 stroke engines ( I would appreciate any info ). Plans for the bike are TY Majesty swingarm & Petrol Tank, Suzuki forks of the period , homemade sidepanels , seat.I have offered these parts upto the bike & it looks promising.
