  1. Gentlemen Your help would be appreciated to help me locate the various parts of this tubeless tyre inflation valve assembly. The assembly comprises the following parts: Main Stem housing valve Two rubber washers (one either side of sealing strip?) One domed metal washer (between lower rubber washer and knurled ring) One knurled metal ring (between domed washer and wheel rim) One nut (external to wheel rim) One valve cap (obvious) Ther is no spacer with this assembly and the assembly appears a little deep inside the rim.
  2. Hi When fitting the airbox to Sherco loosen the clamp in front of carb, push airbox forward and pull back carb onto airbox rubber. Then push assembly forward and align carb spigot. Fit airbox fasteners and do up clamps. Hope this helps Geebee

Hi Mattylad If you look in the Sherco section under silencers, there is a cutaway photo Geebee
  4. Hi We run an 07 290 with v force reeds and have the ignition backed off. We align the mark with the centre of the stator retaining bolt. We also run with a 38 pilot jet on a 60:1 98 octane petrol oil mix and this works well for us. Geebee
  5. Hi For Villiers information try the following: www.isdm.co.uk/villiersinfo Geebee
  6. Hi Copemech I think I tend to agree with you. I am making plans to change all gear box bearings at the earliest opportunity. I was going to change main bearings also, but those plastic cadged bearings (TNPs) are so expensive. May actually fit standard 6206 C3s. Thanks for your help Regards Geebee
  7. Thanks for your response Copemech This was my assembly procedure: The spacer in as per diagram, that is with flange towards gearbox. The needle bearing slid onto the spacer. The clutch basket / primary drive gear assembly slid onto the bearing. The bearing retaining washer fitted. The clutch hub then installed and bolted up. It was noted that there was some lateral movement of the clutch basketafter assembly. I am considering fitting a shim on the spacer to compensate for this movement and to hold the basket outboard and was hoping some one had previously done this modification. Regarding the idle gear, this has not been remove and is as assembled by the factory. Geebee
  8. Gentlemen Has anyone experienced this problem and found a solution. Having changed the clutch basket on my 07 2.9 Sherco, a recent strip down revealed that the rivet heads have been rubbing on something. On close examination I think they have been machined by the end of the gearbox mainshaft which carries the starting mechanism idle gear. I have changed the bush (inner race) for the needle roller bearing and the bearing, but not the outer race, which is part of the primary drive gear. This engine, since I have had it has always been noisey and I am still trying to reduce the noise. Any help or comments on this problem would be appreciated. Geebee
  9. I am about to start a clutch basket change out on the sherco, using a new basket and the installation kit. This involves the riveting of the assembly. Although I have previous experience of fitting solid rivets could anyone offer any usefull advice on the same and possible areas to avoid. Can this task be implemented using a rivet snap (dolly) or will I require some form of press? Thanks in anticipation - Geebee
  10. Could anyone please advise if the HT lead on a 07 Sherco can be replaced without replacing the coil. Thanks in anticipation - Geebee
