  1. Thanks TLTEL but I think it's fixed now. I will check those bolts though. You sound very experienced and it will just take a minute to do.
  2. That's probably good advice Larry about getting a new throttle instead of a knot on the head! Haha
  3. A friend of mine was digging through his old trials stuff and said he had a leather TY tank cover still in the original package. Have you guys ever heard of these?

  5. Okay removed the fuel tank and pulled the slide. The carb was clean. Lubed cable from the slide end and put it back together. Still sticking. Pulled the throttle apart at the bars again. Put it back together and left the bar clamp screws just tight enough to keep the throttle housing from twisting on the bars and, BINGO!! It's fixed. It's official, I'm an idiot.
  6. Not sure Johnyboy. That hadn't crossed my mind. The bolts at the carb on the intake side?
  7. Thanks guys! I'll check all these things.
  8. I pulled the grip back and the throttle was still sticking.
  9. I didn't pull the carb off the bike. The sticky slide is a possibility.
  10. I say the carb is clean. I had the bowl off to change the main jet.
  11. Took the throttle apart at the bars and cleaned it up. Put some lube in the cable but it could probably use more. Carb looked clean but I didn't check for a bent needle.
  12. Bought the wife a Honda Reflex to try to get her interested in trials. The throttle stays wherever you turn it and won't return to closed on its own. Any ideas?
  13. Well got lucky and William Haskell at Balance Trials Supply found one for me. Now I have a spare because eventually I will have nothing left to zip tie on the old one.
  14. Thanks lineaway for the information. Just wanted a nice one on reserve. Maybe I'll find one eventually.
  15. I have a 1997 Beta Techno 250 with a broken rear fender. I was wondering if '95-'99 fenders will fit my bike? From the pictures the frames look the same as far as I can tell.
