  1. The std sla batteries are best charged on the std charger imo, should flash slow red at the beginning then quicker toward the end of charge then green when full. Lots of info on here about lipo upgrade but but I haven't gone down that road, yet :-) spare 10amp sla batteries are around £ 70 per set. We have 3 sets and if there's lots hills there all flat in about 1 - 2 hrs cuttin my lads ride short so we need to upgrade one way or another soon ;-)
  2. yes if your going to try it dexron 3 spec is the one to get. i run it in my evo and ktm 300 and yes the take up is a little sharper but i found less clutch drag cold or hot on both machines
  3. My boy of 6 currently has an oset 16 which was great for him starting out on 6months ago but I'm thinking that his riding now is limited due to the battery power or rather lack of it after short duration. this is mainly due to him getting more confident on the hills and after 15 or so minutes power drops off rapidly so he ends up either sitting down and paddling up the last bit of the hill or going so slow he falls off. we always take 3 sets of fresh fully charged batteries by the way. Don't really want to go down the lithium route as the 16 is a bit small and the 20 is expensive imo so my questions are has anyone got experiences of the Beta mini or opinions on getting him onto an engine (proper)bike at 6yrs old. i plan on taking him to some trials later on in the summer after his baby bro arrives but its just play riding and fun at the moment. cheers folks
  4. Superb. Thanks for sharing. Toni bou should ride a twin shock lol
  5. Well the oset 20 racing wasn't for me so sold that and now got a 250 Evo. Been on it twice a week for the last 4-5 weeks on some awesome land in the Lake District and riding with experienced trials riders it's great learning how to ride again, far more rewarding than I'd ever thought it would be, was going to enter a trial soon but having too much fun practising at the moment.only regret is I Should have bought one years ago!
  6. Found this mate as an alternative to earth x whilst doing a bit of research into oset battery power. Not cheap! but the packs can be treated like sla batteries so a lot safer in charging and discharging. http://eclipsebikes.com/battery-cells-battery-packs-lifepo4-battery-packs-c-77_68.html?osCsid=88d7b93895a88762e1f7e19bb2b96b38
  7. Hello, I'm looking at getting a trials bike to keep up with my 6yr old on the oset 16! Tempted by an oset 20 for more riding area options and if anyone has any opinions or exp. on these please share!? but can't help thinking I could buy a decent (proper)bike for similar money..1500 ish, would I be better off with 125/200 as I've not had a trials bike since juniors ty 80/175 and not sure if a 250 or above would be too much power, have had mx and road bikes (lots) since ty's though . Any input appreciated. Thanks
