  1. Flush the fluid out with what ever is on the cap or on your manual. Complete flush, it has boiled over at least once or has crud or water in the line. keep going until its clear, (motul has a slight gold tinge) Had this exact issue happen to my ktm 150, flushing it did the trick, i now flush the fluid about 3 times a year for what it costs, brakes work much better. If your rear brake fluid was dirty i would imagine the front would need to too.
  2. Fit on the Airoh is Bang on to the size chart they provide on their website as stated above, i was in the same boat and had to order mine online. Fits great, vents well and light. Quality piece!
  3. I figured out the Keihin, the needle seat / Diffusor was installed the wrong way, i feel like a buffoon. It should be installed from the bottom with the bowl off. Thanks for the Dellorto settings, mine is set up nicely now.
  4. Yup, Lowbrow was correct. It was after i looked for a micro-fiche for the Keihin. I have 36mm Keihin on my sx 250 and it doesn't have that needle seat at all. So i was unsure of how it assembled, it didn't seem right to jiggle around. Thanks for all the assistance.
  5. Thank you for the replys guys, Lineaway, the vent tube is not flattened or plugged, it has a 48 pilot currently. Tony 27, Interesting, well the other way the needle jet extension has a hole in the one end, but it will not budge to fit in there. flip it other way(like in picture), it jiggles around. Leads me to believe when the bike is on a incline (climbing, mid wheelie) only at half throttle to WOT it would load up because the needle extension is lifting with the needle?
  6. Dan, i blew it out with compressed air and carb cleaner, it was spotless, i could see through all the jets. Throttle body? you mean slide body? i only see two on the out side for venting, both were free and clear of crud. The Needle seat (i think is that its called) is in the picture above. I can remove it quite easily and its jiggles around some. One would think it would be an interference fit.
  7. I was driving home from a rainy practice ride this past weekend, (bike was in the back of a pickup) with a new to me 2011 Sherco 2.9. When i arrived home i attempted to start the bike, no go, so i put a new plug in and went ahead and cleaned carb. In the process i found some interesting items i'd like to get some more info on. Carb had very little water in it, air box is a terrible design! how did these bikes make it threw 2010/11 SSDT?! So the needle seat fell out into my hand, i would assume these are a press fit, not jiggle around. Only goes in one way? The float bowl tube is bent on a 45.0 with a flare on the end, guessing this is some sort of a mod? after cleaning and putting back on the bike, idles perfect. Wack the throttle and a big lean bog! WTF. i changed nothing but cleaning it. so i put around the yard, accelerate slowly 1/2 throttle and it burbles and coughs as if the choke is on. So i go ahead on throw the stock Dell'orto on that the previous owner left for me. It runs a tad rich but no hesitation, But the first thing i noticed was how stiff the kicker was with the Delly on. HOLY @#$! felt like a brand new bike. I think i will raise the needle one clip and see how it runs from there. Why would the Keihin affect compression?
  8. UPDATE, Put the stock Dell'Orto and runs like a champ but a tad rich. little burble at 1/8th to 1/2 throttle. Much more compression than the Keihin for some reason.., plug looked white ish with the keihin, possible air leak?
  9. So now i'm scratching my head. i'm new to trials, but i'm not new to two strokes or offroad bikes in general. I know nobody rides a trials bike like this but when i wack the throttle from a slow idle, or climbing i will sometimes get a lean/rich bog. Almost like the choke is stuck on, let off the throttle and it idles fine. i really only notice it riding from or to a section, or when i clear it out. 125 main 45 pilot. Is the float set correctly? also does the fuel line go along side the exhaust or wrap over the airboot? the latter does not seem to mount the carb in the boot as nice, but i don't want to burn up a fuel line! With whatever jetting the previous owner did i can only seem to articulate about 1/8th to 1/4 of air screw adjustment, when it gets colder do does one just lower the clip? i know its a tiny carb but it seems ultra sensitive to the air screw. ^ also wondering if this needle seat is supposed to be loose to the touch, it will fall out if the carb is tipped upside down.
  10. Awesome! Ordering one tomorrow, i have the Keihin on my 11' and i ordered the 12' airboot just in case i need it. Thanks Steve!
  11. Interesting, Thanks for the heads up Faussy!
  12. does anyone know if it's possible to change from the 2010-11 airbox to the 2012+ airbox and filter? Comes complete Part # 3525
  13. I'm happy with my Forma Boulders! took about one ride to feel comfortable. good quality, I recommend them.
  14. anyone have a size chart?
  15. Just purchased a gently used 2011 Sherco 2.9 coming off a 99 beta techno and have some questions. Is there a rear brake return spring? pedal feels dead until you actuate it. Does it absolutely need 98 octane? 94 is the closest i can get at the pump without getting 112 VP My bike came with a very brief manual, link to download a full service manual? is the exhaust repack-able? is it normal for it take about 7-8 kicks when cold to charge the fuel pump? Thanks for any replys Sherco gurus!
