I am needing a new throttle cable for my 2005 rev 3 where can I get a direct replacement that will fit straight on no cutting to length etc

Hi I stay just near forres you can probably get most of your parts from Highland leisure sport the owner Gary is very helpful and does trials himself I have had my bike to him for work and also parts I am new to bikes and looking for someone to practice with help me along if you ever fancied it

Bike sorted put it to dealer but wish I had tackled the job myself crankshaft seal was torn and alot of water in my carb and fuel bike is much better now and looking forward to my trial next week

What's the best way to do this

How much would a 2011 250 evo be worth in good well maintained condition

I have tried putting it on and off quickly alot of times but not spinning it I can hear the kill switch clicking when I put the magnet on and off not sure if this means it's working or not

Take the earth direct from the kill switch or from down the bottom how would I attach this new wire sorry for questions I am not very good at thus stuff and nowhere near me to put my bike to get work done

Anyone know how to take the switch apart to see if there's anything sticking in there

The earth behind the light looks good I have 4 wires and just have the 2 that come from the kill switch wired into the matching wire down on the fight hand side of the fuel tank

My kill switch is jitsie no solders underneath just like waterproof Jelly stuff I have rewired the wire I thought was broken and I have a circuit on both the wires but the bike still won't stop when I disconnect the kill switch I have checked continuity from as near to the switch as I can and it seems OK

I am using 75ml of oil for 5litres so don't think it's that I have only had the bike a short time and noticed oily sludge coming out of the join of my middle pipe so need to clean this also

Not sure it did look like it was using gear oil as I had an empty sight glass the trail before dropped and topped up for last trial then when washing looked only half full could it be the middle exhaust needing cleaned out on rider behind me said smoke smelt like burning gear oil

Would they not Ware gradually and then start to smoke worse I only noticed after a couple laps as smoke was so bad it has always smoked a bit under load but I am new to all this so never knew what is was

Right had my bike out shed tonight and when sat on a stand level The sight glass was full of oil the last time it was out and run after washing it was only half full could this be the oil running back from the gears as it's been sitting I really have no idea any advice again would be very helpful

I have no learned my problem with a smoky bike is most likely my crankshaft seal on the gearbox side as I am also losing gearbox oil how difficult a job is this to tackle by myself or should I put the bike away to have it done bike is a 2005 rev3

i was also told this today by an experienced rider who saw and smelt the smoke yesterday I have also noticed today that my gearbox oil has also gone so this I believe also points to the crank seal being the problem how hard is the seal to change and any advice for me tackling this job

Thanks for replies my bike had started smoking a bit at my last trial i changed the exhaust packing and at yesterday's trial was OK for about 2 laps then started to smoke very badly I was advised by an experienced rider it looked and sounded like the rings had gone by the smoke trail all along the section I had just ridden and the rattling coming from my bike it's my first bike so no experience with them

Can anyone tell me how much I have to remove to get the cylinder barrel off think I am needing to having a look at the rings and condition of things in there Cheers

OK thanks so if a wire is crushed or broken would the bike continously run when I take the kill switch off

Thanks bad punctuation It's been fitted for a year do do you think it could be a broken wire somewhere i am really not good at electrics i thought maybe something was stuck but tapped it a few times and nothing

Just back from a trial today I have a jitsie magnetic kill switch fitted at section 6 I stopped bike using the kill switch started it again rode the section and at section 7 tried to use the kill switch to stop the bike again and the engine just kept running I have tried the magnet on and and off a few times Aswell as gentle tapping to see if the inside is stuck up but no joy any advice on what I could try would be great Thanks in advance hopefully get this sorted soon

OK thanks I did notice from a video my legs were very straight and others who were successful were much more bent

Yeah thanks for replies I was in 3Rd gear but I did think less throttle but the time I flipped I had alot of power on and at least got further than any other attempt I did notice people crouching on their bikes would I keep my weight central or slightly back if using this technique

Was at a trial today and one section very slippery long hill climb pretty steep 3 out of4 times I never got grip at all and failed the climb Early just spinning and once I got decent traction but had to much power on or weight to far back and flipped my bike but felt I had enough momentum up until this point to make it any pointers in what I could try
