  1. Jsp here is my setup the wire is a female connector with a black wire and a black wire with green tracer. The connector i cut off one of the unused connectors on the factory harness. Solder and shrink tube to the led light.
  2. Thanks elemetal i bought a small green led off of ebay and wired it in using the unused connector end at the head light. But the lights on all the time, if i disconnect the connector at the sensor lights out. Never thought the dummys would wire it backwards, have to drain the tank down to check. ?
  3. Hey just another thought to check ricarvar, i found corrosion in the ecu connection of my bike. There was one green wire that was the worst not sure where it goes. The wiring diagrams are a little cheesie.

    2018 OSSA?

Well the website for ossa es has been gone for a week. I just thought it was tits up big julie for ossa but that would be great if they come back.
  5. Just another note or idea, my ossa manual states what is needed for a cable they say if using windows 7 or 8 will work fine if the optimal cable with the ftdi chip is used which like the btwice cable with the electronics and chip in the usb end. You can buy the adapter 232 usb cable off there website which is 25 dollars. You would have to splice the connector off of your older cable onto your new cable. Ossa wants you to only use the drivers from the ftdi website which you can down load for free. Just a thought then you could keep yer flaptop.
  6. Hey ricarvar just a thought you may want to remove the flywheel cover and check the pick-up for damage. There were other posts on this forum about the crankcase cover screws coming out and getting caught breaking the ignition pick-up causing no spark. I took my flywheel off two weeks ago and checked the screws. Good luck. Ps the pickup is at the top of the flywheel in the bump area.
  7. You need to take the plug out of the head and connect it to the coil wire. The metal or wrench part of the plug has to be touching and grounded to the cylinder head to complete an electrical circuit. Then kick it over with your hand. ?Check the plug gap for spark, may want to try another plug also.
  8. Hey ricavar you never really said if you have spark while kicking it over with the plug out and connected while grounded to the engine or frame. If no spark try disconnecting the kill switch at the steering head. Also check the wiring there it can rub through with the turning of the bars. ?
  9. Hey lotus did you have to load the drivers first and then k-scan software then k-rite datapc. Was it on a disc, any problems. Ossa says it designed for xp but windows 7 and8 will work great if the optimal cable with ftdi chip is used. You can download the driver off the web page. They dont recomend other drivers.
  10. Hello when i bought my bike the dealer was nice enought to supply a shop manual and one page talks about what ossa requires for a diagnostic cable. Says the usb to serial(rs232) adapter must have the FTDI chip. So if you go to FTDIchip.com they list a cable with the chip part# usb-rs232-we-1800-bt_5.0 which is 6 feet long. They also say to download ftdi drivers to work properly. The connector on the bike is red +12v, black -12v, white txd, yellow rxd, white/blue +5v, black/yellow -5v. Ossa model 2013 and down will be a four pin connecter which is minus the 12v pos and neg. maybe ktm would have a connecter. Also the cable is 24dollars? if someone buys this and works let us know.
  11. Hey canada280, when you had your waterpump problem was the bike over heating or the fan running all the time. I drained my coolant last week and had black small chunks and also aluminum chunks stuck inside the fins. Same bike as yours its new to me.
