from what I read on the web site , was that in three years they had a turn over of 6.000.000 eu , went into production end of 2015, all the bikes are realistically still first generation ... its prob just me but buying into something so young just a bit of a concern, and if they are likely to be around long term or not .. As for engine sizes , is there much between a 250 and 300 ?

Hi.. the bike I demoed was a 2017 trrs ?? And yeah it did sound good .. it was a 250 .. my only concern is that it’s such a young bike / company ... maybe I’m just a bit sceptical lol

Hi all... So , I have decide to buy a new bike ( new used bike ) , returning to trials after 20+ years .. I looked into this about a year ago, but life was put on hold due to ill relative, but am now ready .. Years ago, I had a sherco 290 , which was my first and only trials bike , I then used a club bike on a event day last year , and then recently I had a day out on a montesa 4 stroke and a TRS RR .. Last year I nearly bought a ossa as they looked good .. So, as it happens I decided against the ossa after reading they went bust , I have also ruled out Gas Gas ... ,I hadn't really heard much about TRS as they wasn't around when I was riding before , I was thinking along the lines of either a Beta , or sherco , mainly because they have been around for a long time and produce more than one bike, and seemed the safest bet .. But today I had ago on a TRS , and tho I hadn't ridden really in years I was quite impressed and really enjoyed myself.. now I hadn't really thought about TRS but they seem good , tho a little dubious as they are such a new production ... Have any of you had much experience with them , also is there anything to avoid with the sherco or beta .. ? I thought about getting a 300 as bigger is better right.. ? but then Its been advised that the 250 is the best compromise ? i guess its what you do with it what counts ..lol.. recommendations ..? would be nice to get some recommendations and advice , dont want to go too old maybe 2015 on ... if you were buying a bike what would you get ..? cheers . andy ..

so .. thinking about both bikes I thought id save a bit and get the super clean 250 .. started looking at the pics a bit more , compared them to photos on google , turns out some of the stickers are missing , no big problem , thought Id ask , the guy said he replaced the plastic as it had a little scratch, he went on to say that the oil has been changed every second time out , along with the filter ?.. seemed a bit overboard ... He said he was a mature rider and has only use the bike around single tracks and small logs , said he hasn't the nerve for much bigger ... Funny tho as he has photos on FB jumping between massive rocks ... I asked him about all this , no reply .. When something seems too good to be true , it normally is .. Looks like its the 300 ... I hope this guy is more genuine ...

unfortunately , I'm not going to be able to ride them back to back .. how do they ride differently ?

the newer one , looks to have had a little more of a harder life ... where as the year older looks like new , it is so clean the guy said he is a little ocd .. but both bikes don't want for anything , and there is £100 difference in it .. I think I'm leaning towards the older one , simply because it looks so clean was there any significant upgrades , changes between the two years 2013 and 2014 , or was it just cosmetic ??

Hi all , been looking for a new bike , have narrowed it down to 2013 evo 250 .. this bike looks super clean .. or a 2014 evo 300 , again pretty clean .. both are road reg, both are about the same money 100 -+ .. I like the look of them both .. i was hoping for a little advice on both , anything bad with either of these years , is there much difference between the two , is the 300 better having a bit more power ? Any thoughts or advice would be great ?? thanks

Well I have been looking at a Sherco 2015 , 300 factory .. which looks nice , but seems a little cheap , so was a bit cautious asking price £2700 delivered .. or I have seen a 2013 beta evo 250 , which is very very clean , the asking price for that is £2600 .. ?

had a little chat with the importer today , about parts for the ossa tr280 , they seem to think they have all the parts I would ever need to keep it going .. we talked about the gear box problems, and he said that the gear selector can be a bit delicate and if they get hit hard it can cause some issues but not always .. he said that people have problems starting them this mainly because of the fuel injection system which needs priming first ... Cant help thinking that resale in a couple of years is going to be tough tho .. and 2K for a 2013 albeit a very clean bike that wants for nothing , is still a lot ... there are a few cheaper ones on eBay . .

Yeah , I think I have moved on from the ossa now .. Been looking at a Beta , and sherco ... don't know which is better tho .. ?

Hi all still searching for a bike , have seen a few sherco 290 & 250, 2007 - 2010 looks ok , and have been looking at a beta evo 250, 2012 .. The beta is a little bit more money , Im kinda looking on opinions on both bikes , pros and cons ? and how they ride whats good , whats not ... Im just returning to trials after 13 year , bk then I had a sherco 290 , but cant remember too much on how it was .. any info would be greatly appreciated .. Cheers Andy . . .

One of the things I meant to ask , is are the engines made by ossa or are they made by someone else and just rebranded ? Cheers guys for all the infon and help

lol .... I am so tempted .... how do they match up against the Beta's and sherco's of the same year .. ?

Im still in two minds .. Im eager to get another bike now , as I was out today on a loner club bike . I did contact a few dealers today with regards to parts , they seemed to think, that there is still a good backing of parts , but its still a worry that in a year or so if there will be parts .. and I guess that that if I wanted to sell it latter on I might find it hard .. On the flip side I was talking to a few guys at the club and they did say that they are really nice bikes (but also mentioned about parts ) The ossa that I have been looking at is a 2012-13 and is up for £2000 . which isn't far off the cost of 2008 bikes, and the ones I have seen look like they had a hard life , I cant help thinking I'm getting a lot of bike for the money ... as long as I don't need parts ...lol... ?

yeah I was a bit concerned , why I posted about it .. for the 2012-2013 ossa , the price is much to the same as 2007 or below from another make .... Are they that bad ? What type of money would people expect to pay for a 2012-2013 ossa , I'm in the uk ... I would have liked a modern beta , think they look good ... but thats more money than I'm willing to spend atm, Im sure that I will get on with returning to trials , but didn't want to spend out too much incase I had a change of heart ... and I have only just bought a new fire blade sp .. cheers ..

Hi all .. looking for some un-biased thoughts .. I have been looking to return to trials , and one of the bikes I have seen is a Ossa Tr280i , 2012-13 .. the bike seems to have had very little use , and has had two owners ,, the first owner had issues with the bike not running correctly and would go through plugs, so the bike wasn't used .. The second own was an older guy , and I had been told that the previous issue was to do with the fuel mapping , which had been corrected and so I'm told the bike is running good .. the second oner didn't ride the bike hard and put very few hours on it .. So now I have been thinking about buying the bike , I have looked at some other bikes , sherco , a beta rev 3 .. but the ossa seems to be a lot more bike for the price and much newer that if I was to buy a beta or sherco ... and in comparison to the sherco's I looked at, the Ossa seems to be the better choice .. But ... altho I know bikes , I haven had a trials bike for 13 years or more, and Ossa wasn't a brand that I knew, I know that they have stopped production ( for a time apparently ) but I have been assured that the shop which has the bike foe sale , are able to get parts and keep things up and running , the guy in the shop seemed like a genuine guy ... So I just wanted to know thoughts and feelings towards buying the Ossa , anything else that I should know? ... Would it be better to buy an older bike from a different brand or is it safe bet to buy a newer cleaner , bike from a less reportable make .. Cheers guys ..

we went and looked at some bikes today , My son didn't seem too interested .. I think maybe after I have my bike , he might think diff.. I saw a few electric bikes , tho I think they look good for the kids , they are not cheap and I cant help thinking that they don't sound right lol...

lol.. I will keep it all in mind .. My son plays ice hockey , he has been playing for about a year , and is much better than me , will be far better than I could be .. they learn so quick when there young ..
