  1. Spanish fly does make one. It is installed from the back of the end cap and is held in place with orings and a flange. It cannot be removed without takes the end cap off, so cleaning will be more of an issue then the RYP spark arrestor but the install is very clean, and no drilling holes in the end cap. Price is about 85$, I’m going to order one today. Phil.
  2. I have a question regarding spark arrestors for the current Sherco’s. I just picked up one from RYP and Discovered it’s held in place with 2 wood screws??? It’s a 2 piece design, an adapter screws to the plastic cap at the end of the silencer then you clamp the spark arrestor over that. I believe Spanish fly makes one...need to do some more research. thanks, phil.
  3. Pivot bearings/ bushings were in good shape, I was happy to find no rust and a small amount of grease. I believe sherco likes to use 50:50 grease and anti seize.
  4. Update, I was able to remove the rear brake assembly and swing arm intact. The brake hose will pull through the gap between the engine and the vertical back bone of the frame. I lubed the hose, frame and engine with grease to ease the process, it’s a tight fit!
  5. Hi, I’m trying to remove the swing arm to lube up the piviots but the rear brake hose/ master cylinder and reservoir look like they need to be removed 1st? Is this true? Thank you.
  6. Hey elemental, Glad to here your trip to dmv went smoothly. Did you have to add a new vin plate number or did you use the original stamped vin from the frame? Did they issue a red or green sticker? What is the 8th number in your vin? According to Ca. Dmv if it’s a 3 or C you will receive a red sticker. thanks.
  7. Looking for your input, if you have any pros and cons please let me know. thanks.
  8. Looking at buying a new or slightly used bike, sounds like Sherco made some major changes in the last 2 years. Is this bike a good pick for a club rider? How does it compare with a 2019 gas gas txt 250 pro? Pricing is within 300$. Thanks

  10. Thanks for your input, found out today from RYP that 17’ and on models can be registered in Ca. Talk to Kevin and he can provide what is needed.
  11. Hgas, are you referring to the gold coating that wears in the fork seal area? If so I was wondering if I cover the forks with those neoprene boots if that would prevent it? what year did they improve the durability of the gold coating? thank you, phil.
  12. Hi, I've heard that you cannot register a Sherco or Scorpa for that matter, in California. This is very discouraging and holding me back from buying one. Has anyone had success in doing so? What is the loop hole? Thank you,
  13. Hi, Thinking about purchasing this bike. Has approximately 25 hours and is like new. Please share your knowledge on this model. Any information will help. Thank you.
  14. Kim, as far as I can tell the fan is identical except for the slightly longer motor. Air flow and noise seem to be also the same. Phil
