  1. update just looked at spare crank the one using has a wear grove in it the shim fits inside of it so will put together check end float
  2. yes all can do is a dry fit side to see thank you for reply
  3. i just putting my tiger crankcase together shims crankshaft I have got one shim on primery side is there spose to on other side as well been looking books cant see any shims
  4. google 2015 someboby else asking about 8e 3 speed gearbox mainshaft end float I got 3 speed gearbox look weekend think its taken out by clutch adjustment with the adjuster as for engine sprocket tap the oil seal bit more in take bit crankcase or old primary chain let wear its a long time I am building 8e in time how about fliting 9e 4 speed gearbox I seen it never gone down that road
  5. just sent my crankcase and crank to Chris at meriden this morn going for it .same here would like that cub in my garge
  6. thank you the engine come to me in bits on the left side case says m all got old type pumps. also crank has wear on oil feed stub crank going to box it up and send it to Chris now yes it a cost me on your engine can see the webbing needs to be machined
  7. hi got a twin bearing tiger cub crankcase I want to fit a later block oil pump do need to get the case machined or just strait swop
  8. let me know how get fitting the c15 engine a cub frame would be interesting to if fits ok
  9. yes would go with c15 engine in cub frame try it plenty of c15 engines about once rebuilt go on for ever
  10. yes thinking of do that send him side case and the crank do the big end was think having a go at doing the big end my self my mate said best to farm it out to the experts and save and pay up job done

  12. I am rebuilding point in the side cub engine my original crankshaft has wear on the oil feed side so got another crank off flebay and that one same wear on the shaft where the oil feed is anything to worry about or do I need to split crank buy new shaft
  13. if I am not using the point in the case on a late cub can use a early side case

      The gear box timing side cover differ in that the side points one has a dome over the end off the crank I use a different sleeve gear and lay shaft gear to lower first gear Some later lay shaft { where the gear is pressed on are larger ) but the rest should be the same The smaller gear for third has slightly different dogs in being half round and a grove next to the teeth I have discovered one of my main shafts is longer by 15 thou so it may be worth checking and is to tight to rotate freely

  15. sorry meant to say gearbox gears and shafts also gearbox cover deff got no outer case with point cover if I don't use point going electronic can I use early cover?
  16. hi I am new be to trials central I have points in side engine in bit and early bush distributor in bit all mixed up so don't know what gears belongs to what are they all the same inter change if anybody put right thank you
