i own two 315 a few years ago and both of them sounds very similar to yours. Maybe the piston has a bit more play than when it was new. But i think no problem for further use.

when you talk about gearboxes on tiger cubs,i have the following problem:
Under pressure,especially at hill climbs my 1.gear fell of. I have changed 1. gear and selector forks without any better result.
