Thanks again mate! I’ll go and have a look and see what I think. Great to know I can tap into all this experience on here. Have a good Sunday!

Thanks for the speedy response. Just researching the bike and wondering if the 250 comes in both 2 and 4 stroke? I don’t know what the bike will be as he hasn’t mentioned it. Will it matter what stroke I get as a beginner? I’ve had a look at some of the videos on bike set up, and doing an experience day next week so I can ask lots of questions. Thanks for your help mate, much appreciated.

Hi guys, New to the sport and just looking around at bikes. A friend of a friend is selling a 2012 Beta EVO 250 in vgc with a few bits and pieces. £2200. It’s hardly been ridden and looks mint in the pics. Does this sound about right for a 6 year old bike? Any advice would be appreciated. Jamie.

  5. There’s definitely something about the retro bikes out there. I’m looking at the newer bikes on eBay and on the classifieds here, but will hang on until I know a lot more about the sport and my requirements before jumping in. Thanks for your help this far mate. All the best and hope you enjoy the new bike!
  6. Thanks for the reply mate. I’ll have a read of the transport forum. I can’t wait to get started. So many bikes to choose from though. What made you go for the Fantic if you don’t mind me asking.
  7. Can I ask a question on the back of this post.... I’m new to the sport and have noticed that some bikes for sale are road registered and some aren’t. I see the ones that are registered just have a sticker type of number plate on the mud guard. What’s the score with brake lights etc whilst on road for legal purposes?
  8. Hi Guys, totally new to the sport. I have a RE cafe racer and a RE Himalayan, but I fancy something a little different that looks to be great fun. I’ve booked an all day trials experience in a few weeks and can’t wait. If all goes well I’ll be looking for a bike. I’ve seen the tow bar attachments for transporting the bikes. Are these adequate for transportation? It seems like a lot of weight on the tow bar... ? If so, can anyone recommend a quality brand? Thanks Guys.
