  1. Hi folks,

I'm just in the process of rebuilding a rear kick 200 and I've found someone has been in before! The gearbox is missing thrust washers/shims on both shafts. I can find the part numbers but no sizes? anybody have a source or know the exact size of 250.43.8060.

There was no washer in between the main bearing and crank number 250.42.5090 either? I'm being careful and taking my time building it so don't want to omit parts. I'll check end float etc as I get it back together.

    Cheers gentlemen.

  2. Hi Folks,

I have a 156cc and the piston code is 'E', it appears a little worn and I doubt it's the original. The bore is good and not showing much wear and I've spent a while carefully measuring it's diameter with about twenty or more reference points. I'm thinking I will invest in a new piston but can't find any information on the sizes relating to the codes. I did ask a dealer and they came back with they only have the codes on the pistons not sizes. I would rather just order a piston to match the bore size than keep buying  them one by one until I find one with the correct clearance!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

  3. Morning everyone,

I'm running out of search ideas trying to find a new rear brake hose/line for a 2000 model txt250? I can't even find a second hand one! Is my only choice to send it to Venhill and have it copied or are there ones out there that are generic?

    Cheers.

  4. Thanks for the replies folks. I'm an ex welder fabricator although it was 35 years ago! I was hoping I could find some modern wide ones that would just bolt in. I could make my own I suppose but custom ones may look nice but I'd have to make spares as well. When you bend one in the middle of a trial  etc!!!

  5. Evening all.

Do modern wide foot rests fit the standard Fantic hangers. I've just spent ages trying to find modern foot rest adverts that contain dimensions? Massive selection to chose from but no outside dimensions shown for the bracket end where the bolt slides through.

I don't really want to take a punt on £35.00 foot rests and find I have to modify the frame and hangers.

  6. I have a 200 Fantic with a really mashed up brake rod. Anybody know where I can get a new one? If not I'll make one, has stainless steel rod been used successfully bearing in mind the couple of bends needed to navigate the shock.
