There is an Evesham MCC, Centre B club trial this Sunday at Saintbury Quarry. Does anyone know if this is the same venue as used by the Stratford Upon Avon Club?
Thanks

Thanks to every one for the advice.

Hi Stuey
I think I have talked Mal into it but I need more info, Not sure if he will do the camping thing probably more like a <mention of this company is not permitted on Trials Central> (at his age he likes his home comforts especially as he will probably look to do the over 50's??) Do you know if there are any in the area, alternitively I might talk him in to hireing a van, is it proper camp site or is it just a farmers field shared with the Cows and what ever else wild life they have in deepest wales.

Any idea on where to buy this from in the UK?
-
I ride a trial every Sunday if pos and try to get out for a practice during the week during the summer and so far I have never replaced any packing. so this could be the cause for it not running very well.
I believe Motomerlin sell it, Is it just a case of taking the end piece off, dragging out the old stuff with a piece of wire and restuffing etc, how tightly packed does it have to be?
Again thanks

Can any one advise on how often the silencer should be repacked and if it is recommended?
I have an 07 250
Thanks

Thanks,
My bike never seems to run the same two days running, when I think I have just about got it right the next time out it feels horrible but as I said no two days are the same so hopefully fitting the Boysens might help.
I am currently running the standard jets
R2W Carb Mod with extension
Jitsi filter
NGK BP5ES plug
Removed FlyWheel weight
Quick Action Throttle
Have you ever had to repack your exhaust and does it make any difference?

Thanks for all your suggestions, checked out the thermostate and it would appear that mine could be a bit dodgy.
Thanks

I have an 07 250 but am really struggling to get the carb set up right,.
The symptoms are as follows:
Start of a trial it will run well until it gets really hot when it then appears to run lean by pinking and hunting for fuel. To give an exact example, yesterday during a Trial the bike was running fine until a muddy 3rd gear burn up steep bank which then left the bike pinking and hunting for fuel which carried on for some time. The only way I could seem to overcome it (but not completely) was to let it cool down slightly.
I have tried changing the float height and adding the large Nut to the bottom of the float bowl.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated?

I tend to agree the 07 seem to be more fragile then the 06's. or it just might be that I have had bigger crashes. I also believe the rev 4 plastics will fit an 07 although don't believe there are any after market ones

Oh I forgot to mention that on section two there were a few broken mud guards including mine, but a bit more gaffer tape and you woudn't know. Mal's username is MJE but I think he will require some gentle persuasion to log on.
Whats on for next weekend, KK, Ags, Top F, Bewdley or somewhere else?

Steady on Stu...your only jelouse......Excellent trial thouroughly enjoyed it even though Andy's knitting needle counter gout into three digits. So I think it worth giving all the guys at the Pegasus club a big thankyou for an excellenbt trial and special thanks to the observers who must have been frozen for manning all the sections right up to the end.
Andy's artistic creation is pretty good spose welll have to nickname him Picasso....

Planning on riding the Pegasus trial at Stainby tomorrow, having not riden there before, anyone have any idea what the going is like?

I was chatting to Mal Evely last night and he asked if they are single route trials i.e same for pre 65 and modern or do they have variations for modern bikes?

I have an 07 250 Beta, Can any body tell me which way do I need to turn the mixture screw to make it run a little bit leaner?
Thanks

Doogle
Ill take your word for it and put them in the diary, As your from Beds, do you ride the Nene Valley and Cambridge trials?

Many thanks for all the responses, it sounds to me as though they are quite varied, I am currently riding a 250 (07) Beta and although I said that I am not into to real severe sections I certainly do like a challenge. When Trials are on the soft side i.e winner on less than 10 at Clubman level I tend to loose a little bit of interest and therefore make stupid mistakes by trying to make things harder than necessary
I think I certainly will be riding a couple, just to get a feel, varity being the spice of life and all that stuff....
Thanks again

I am considering riding the ACU Classic Trials but do not know what level of rider they cator for. Can anybody give some advice or share the benefit of their experiences?
I have been riding in the South Midland Centre 50/50 championship for the last couple of years and have coped reasonably well. Having said that, I do not feel like I want to attempt some of the more severe sections (I have work to go to on the Monday) and although the mind might be willing the aches and pains suggest the body is not quite so willing.
