  1. Hope you got on OK with ur Carb problem. I've got a 1999 Techno and it did take a while to sort things out. it was a bit of a pain. As you'll see on Trials Central the Mikuni carb has a few issues! Can't help with any factory settings re the Carb, but if ur still having problems, let me know, and i can run thru what i had to check on my Carb. All the best.....
  2. Hi there, recently repacked my techno exhaust with roof insulation, and it seems to have done the job nicely. Bike running better, quieter, and didn't cost me a penny. Cheers
  3. I've had a 1999 techno for quite a while now, and the Stator coil went before xmas. Got it re-wound at West Country Windings, within a day of sending it off, and I've had no problems since. Just a bit unlucky when it went, but now taking note of advice on here, and removing the Stator cover after every ride. All the best.
  4. FlossieAwol, sorry to hear ur woes!! I'm goin thru a similar episode with my 1999 techno, which I also bought off Ebay. Have had loads of problems with the carb, new head bearings , etc etc , and still speanding cash! Not good. learnt my lesson, but the bike is now running ok so quite enjoying learning the Sport. All the best and enjoy . NeillyDoc
  5. Had problems with the removal of the bottom bearing on my Beta Techno, but now, thanks to ur advice, new headind bearings fitted, and lots of grease used. Thanks guys. Cheers Neillydoc
  6. Hi there jezzaxt, I have a 1999 Techno 250 and the clutch takes an age to warm up. Just recently bought the bike so I'll be interested to see other peoples thoughts on your post, as I wouldn't mind knowing myself. All the best.....

    Beta Problem

Jack Re the beta problems.... i had recent problems with my 250 techno, had the carb setup properly, and it ran very well. However today, my first trial, I left the bike ticking over, getting myself and my stuff ready for the start, and the bike just died. tried to get it going again, but couldn't. Changed the plug, but made no difference. Sounds a bit simialar with the fact that you had problems after your bike had been sitting before the start of a section. Got my bike home today, and it started, but having problems keeping it runing. Hope you get it sorted. Neil
  8. Hi there, I've got a 1999 techno had had terrible problems with the carb, and too much fuel flooding the bike. As you will on this site, quite a few folk have problems with the carb setup on their betas, which could be a possible fault with yourself. Good advice as already posted, make sure the fuels off, even when you're out on the bike, and stop at section, or whatever, turn the fuel off. it will make a difference I'm sure. i spent 2 days trying to get my bike started at one point, and evenually had to get the carb setup properly, and now she's runnng no problem. The Beta's a really nice bike and i'm sure you'll get round the problems. A recently new member myself so all the best.
  9. Just to let you know, recently bought a 1999 250 techno, and found to my dismay it was leaking fuel from the carb, Big Time ! Tried the Billy T method, and it seems to have done the trick Didn't fancy drilling the carb, but will do the mod if need be. Cheers yal Neil
