Well had another fantastic day at the Scott the weather could not have been better for spectating, i was up bright and early trusty camera in hand and set off to take my customary 300 to 400 shots and all was going to plan i nearly got all of the riders through reels head which was a real stopper today and i only saw a few cleans with three's being the order of the day,and it was a quick dash over to whaw bridge to get some more shots, by this time john sunter was way in front and flying and its great to see a real local heading the field, well i got a lot pictures here of the riders and i was off again to my last section of the day and here is where it all went wrong for me got my self in a good position in the section just ready to get the riders as they made there way back, and my camera decided to play silly buggers and i got the message on the screen that no photographer wants to see in big bold writing "CARD ERROR REPLACE CARD" and my heart sank, i did have another card which i duly put in the camera but i knew my day was done and my heart was not in it any more i did get a few shots(which i will post later) but all i could think about was the other card
well back home and my worst fears have been confirmed i have lost the lot about 400 shots from the trial today and i am to say the least gutted but on the bright side it was a fantastic day for the riders and spectators alike and i would like to thank Richmond motor club for putting on the BEST trial in the world
i will be back next year hopefully with better luck
As for my dad selling the greeves he wanted the money for his next project, which is well on the way to being finished, he is putting a C15 together and just wanted some extra cash, that and my mam said he had to sell some bikes so the first one went(the greeves) and i think he is selling one of his Bantams,as he has a few of them lol
if he gets round to selling a Bantam he might advertise it on here
Do you know had not even noticed the disc brakes on the bultaco or the fantic until you pointed it out, and i took the bloody pictures i must be as blind as a bat
but i do agree,its a poor show when you have to resort to disc brakes for stopping power on an old bike!! for gods sake lets keep the spirit of pre65 and twinshock alive and stop relying on more modern technology
if you let me know which one it is and if you give me your email address(pm me) i will send you a full size one,but i am away from tomorrow for 2 weeks so it will be after that, all i ask is you dont use the picture for anything other than personal use, as there all copyrighted to me, as i am currently building a web site where they will be for sale for a nominal fee i will inform when website is up and running but this one is free so dont worry
Sorry but not that many pics as i had a bit of a fall at section 18, i fell like a bag of the brown stuff camera ok(ish) flash gun not so good its buggered!!!!!!also hurt my arm so didn't feel like taking any more shots but hope you enjoy the few i have put on
Well all i can say is a big thank you for all the coverage you have given us on the site, it just gets better and better every year the speed in which you get results, pictures and general stories is nothing but amazing,and for the unlucky ones who cant make it up to the 6 days its the next best thing.....mairi must say your blogs,facebook updates and every thing else you do has been outstanding so many thanks i know it must have been a drain on your precious time this week so again thanks
MR Moffat your morning radio show has been very informative and must listen(and watch) this week so thanks for that
